This is a massive plastic toy truck that is amazingly well detailed. If your child is going to smash it into a brick wall or throw it down a flight of stairs then you better pass up on it as it will never stand up to that kind of abuse. If you have a child that loves any kind of construction equipment and has some respect for their toys your money will be well spent on this item. I think the age group Bruder recommends for these "Pro Series" is a little young for this line of vehicles. You should start them out with the less expensive "RoadMax" line of toy trucks as they have less detailed items to break off and see how they do. If your child still shows interest as they grow then upgrade to the higher end 'Pro Series" models. This particular truck is so nice that we decided it was going to be an inside play toy only even though Bruder says it's safe for outside also. My son loves it and plays with it for hours but I still had to show him how to operate some of the features on the truck and loader the first couple of times so he didn't overexert and break something off. I think it's an excellent toy overall.

I purchased this toy from Amazon after my son saw it in a catalog of an expensive toy store. He continuously asked for it and I found it on Amazon at a cost significantly less than the toy store catalog. It arrived quickly and perfectly - no damage whatsoever, especially given the size of this truck! (This is a large truck about 3 feet long and includes a backhoe.) My son adores this toy and plays with it daily. It is made well - I have had very good experiences with the "Bruder" line of toys - made well, durable, and very realistic.

If you have a child who really likes truck, you simply can't go wrong with this truck (or any other trucks in the Bruder line). I've found that Bruder trucks are more realistic looking, which is key for my 3 year old.

Overall, I would highly recommend this truck.

I bought this truck for my 3 1/2 year old. He is crazy about Bruder trucks. It has put up with alot of abuse. I highly recommend Bruder toys to anyone, who's child loves trucks, farming or construction equipment. These toys are wonderfully crafted and loaded with detail. I am sure that my son will enjoy this truck for a couple more years.

My 3 1/2 year old son LOVES this truck!!! He plays with it every day and has since the day that he got it. It is over 2 feet long, but that makes it even better for him. He is very hard on toys and I got tired of buying "cheap" trucks for him to break within a day or two, but this one has lasted and seems to be almost unbreakable!

my son loves this truck, however, it should be more durable than it is especially considering the price! the backhoe piece cracked and the side
mirrors easily came off. boys are the intended players of this toy so it
have been sturdier.

I have spent so much money on cheap CHINA JUNK. Me and the wife try to by toys that are made in the USA ( GOOD LUCK). This toy is made in GERMANY and has a much better construction than CHINA JUNK. The thing we love is Brunder actually sells replacement parts for there toys. WE have been buying Brunder toys for a couple years and they hold up very well. This truck is not built like the old tonka trucks but what is? If your child is very rough on toys this will break, It is pretty detailed with lots of little chrome parts.

This truck set is very impressive. It's parts are as durable as possible being made with plastic and are very detailed. I have personally played with it with my grandson and finding it compatible with a multitude of other toys.

Bought for my 5-yo son. As stated in another review, the mfg recommended age is on the low side in my opinion. I think a 3yo would destroy the truck. My 5yo loves it and has been playing with it for hours on end. Great for the imagination. Much cheaper on amazon than other retailers too.

My 4-yr old son loves this toy. What's not to love? It's extremely detailed and looks as real as you can get in a toy. It has many functional parts, the tires are soft, it's intuitive and easy to play with, and it's BIG. Unfortunately, within five minutes of opening the box, our 3-yr old daughter broke a small part off the toy. For the high price, I'd expect the toy to be a bit more durable. This thing could easily be destroyed if you accidentally kicked or stepped on it. Perhaps durability and detail don't come in the same package. If you have a careful/responsible child, this toy will provide years of enjoyment. Otherwise, look to cheaper alternatives that are surely more durable than this product.

Just bought this for my 3 yr old grandson.. He is not destructive with toys in general but I'm afraid to give this to him.. some of the pieces are so delicate they would almost brake off just by touching them .. for a child to want to open and shut the doors (which should be played with that way) I'm afraid they will break off after one or two times of doing so.. it's not durable at all, VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED, was gonna return it but don't wanna loose out on having to pay 10 dollars in shipping.. so disappointed..
