Bruder Mack Granite Side Loading Garbage Truck

Bought this for my 3yr old son who loves to go outside and wait for the garbage truck once he hears it many homes away. I was drawn between the Bruder Man and Bruder Mack models, but am pleased that I went with the Mack since my son loves opening the doors to put a driver inside the truck. It is bigger than expected and although plastic, it does seem durable. Surprisingly, since getting the truck, there does not seem to be an urgency to find or follow the (actual) garbage truck (that comes to our house) should we miss seeing it in the morning. My son seems to be quite content having his own side loading garbage truck to play with everyday. Looking to buy the additional rubbish bins to add variety and additional garbage pick ups :)

We got this for my 2 1/2 year old son. He loves it but it's not quite 2 year old durable, we should have waited a little longer to give it to him. I do like the larger size and realistic features.

I bought this trash truck for my 4 year old grandson. He LOVES trash trucks and has several large ones like this one that are tonka. He likes this truck, because he likes all trash trucks, but the side loader is not really functional. When he loads up a trash can and flips it to empty, it won't flip the lid open and unload correctly. He has to hold the trash cans and unload them into the top himself. His other trucks unload like "the real thing." This truck was a lot of money. The best thing about this truck: it holds alot of trash and has a neat compacter where you can push the trash into the hopper. He does enjoy playing with it.

My 10th Bruder truck for my grandsons. These are the first toys they go for when they visit. Bruder toys are as durable as metal but much lighter in weight. I bought two of these trash trucks for Christmas. Recommended.

Bruder makes high quality toys that are realistic and durable. This is the fourth in the Mack Granite series that I have purchased for my grandsons. They have the dump truck, cement truck, and truck/trailer with front end loader/backhoe. They play with them for hours. Bruder is not cheap; but if you want quality then expect to pay for it. These trucks are far superior to the toys made by Tonka!

This is my grandson's favorite toy. He has two and will play with them for hours. It is very solid built and looks real. My only concern is that box or garbage storage area on the back will close without anything slowing it. It is heavy and it basically falls closed or slams down. If he gets his fingers in there, it would break them. The first time it happened I was playing with him and I am glad no one's fingers were in there as it is very dangerous.

If not for this safety hazard, I would have given in 5 stars. I may use wire to keep the back from lifting as it is that dangerous. Buy with caution!

this truck is great. has been used every day since christmas by my son. i would recommend it for other parents! came in on time and in great shape!

Santa brought this for Christmas 2 yrs ago. This is still played with a few times a month by my son who just turned 7. He loves his garbage truck, and it is still in perfect condition. Happy I made the purchase,even after a few years have gone by.

This truck along with the little garbage cans (he has more then a dozen) and a variety of foam shapes & colors to simulate garbage, has provided hours of entertainment for our grandson. It's a great toy.
