A review of the Bruder Loader/Backhoe. I've read in the other reviews that they have had problems with durability. We've had this toy for two weeks now and haven't had a problem. Maybe after some more rough play we will have some breaks as well, but at this point it's held up well and provides a lot of fun.

Front loader broke off after 2 weeks. It seems bruder toys are very detailed but can't stand up to real world play.

I bought this for my 3 year old son for Christmas. I read previous reviews from other parents. What a disappointment...the truck is not sturdy at all and is not even made of what I would consider "durable" plastic. I know that with minimum play, this truck will be banished to the island of the misfit toys. Save your money.

This German made product is as tough as its heavier metal competitors. I now have 6 of these Bruder products at my home and have purchased another three for grandsons. When my grandsons visit, these are the first toys they drag out and play with during their entire stay. Many moving parts but yet very durable.

I just thought I would put in a review since people seem to complain about the durability of the toy. This is our second bruder construction vehicle (he also has the bull dozer). Our boy is 3 and not at all gentle with the toys and they have held up great. No broken peices or anything. He loves how they are realistic and plays with them almost every day.

My 2.5 year old loves this truck and it has so far stood up to a fair amount of abuse. I would buy this and other Bruder trucks again.

This is a fantastic toy for the money. I must admit I settled for it because I could not afford a Tonka version that was the correct (larger) scale in metal. So I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was a very well-built correctly scaled toy which is important for little boys as they grow older. My two-year-old grandson loves it. He hasn't had it long enough to comment on durability but the price is low enough for a replacement for his baby brother if need-be.

Great truck for our 2 year old. We already have bruder trucks so we know that these toys are durable and more importantly safe.
Not made in china so no concerns about lead in the plastics or paint

Great toy, it looks and is made great, stands up very well to hard playing...

I bought this toy for my 3 yr old son about 6 weeks ago and it has quickly become his favorite toy. I read the other reviews complaining about the toy breaking, but we have had NO problems. My son plays with the backhoe in the sandbox regularly and it has withstood plenty of abuse. Yes, it's made of plastic, but it has proven very durable. I couldn't be happier with this toy. He's getting 4 more Bruder construction toys for Christmas and I can't wait to see his face when he opens them!

One more note, this product is made in Germany, NOT China, so if that matters at all to you (like it does to me), this is worth the extra money.
