When I first looked at the Bruder toys two years ago, the cost seemed too high. But after looking at what else was available, I decided to try the dump truck for my two boys. We have been very happy with the quality and durablity. The truck has been taken to the park sandbox several times a week for two summers now and after the dirt is sprayed off it still looks like new. I really am amazed at how well it has held up. The wheels, the dumper, and the cab opening work as beautifully as they did when it was new.
The truck is about 13 inches long 8 inches high and 7 inches wide. The dumper not only dumps but also swivels from one side to the other. The cab opens up from the top (the red and black part) to show seats inside.
My boys love this toy, they are 3 and 6. Several of our girl -friends that come over to play love this dump truck as well.

My mom gave this dump truck to my 4 year old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. We have four boys under the age of 7, and they have all played with it. It has been run into walls and pushed a million miles already. This is a very durable toy. I was afraid it might be fragile when we first got it, but boy was I wrong. Good, strong plastic. Also has such bright colors, my kids love it!!

My toddler son has had this about a year, and it has been put to every toddler test known to man. Still looks new!! Great for bath, beach, back yard, etc. So glad we have this and the articulated loader. Lots of real life details. No worries for safety.

My 2 year old grandson immediately took to this dump truck, and quickly got the point of the way the truck unloaded whatever he put into the "dumper"--cars, blocks, books. He pushed it around for a while and then went on to other things, but usually came back to the truck for further pushing around! The toy is colorful, solid, well-made and good for inside or outside use. I imagine our grandson will get lots of use of this in the park and at the beach as well as in the house. I'd recommend the toy.

I gave this truck to my grandson for his second Birthday and was a success because all the kids at the party wanted this toy. He share with his friends but didn't let it go completely. He loves and name all the truck's bright colors and keeps turning and loading the dump piece. Seems to be pretty sturdy since he still have it in one piece for 2 months already and he plays rough.

We started with the Bruder Roadmax garbage truck because my 2 yr son was fascinated with garbage trucks, and this was the only garbage truck we could find that was suitable for a two year old and did not contain small pieces. We liked the garbage truck so much that we have since added most of the other Roadmax trucks to his collection. The dump truck (and all of the Roadmax trucks) are easy to use and maneuver, the heavy duty plastic is sturdy, the wheels are rubber, and there are no small pieces. My 2 year old son loves that the windsheilds flip open and he can put pretend people in them. The trucks are colorful but still look realistic. Best of all, they are not made in China, and do not come secured in a box with numerous wires and fasteners. We love the Bruder Roadmax series!

This truck is very well made. My son is 2, and he really likes how the cab opens. He likes to put his playmobil people inside the cab. The tires are rubbery and grip to the floor like a real truck! Little boys this age are often rough with toys, and this one is standing up to the crashing and other abuse! Great truck, worth the money, not likely to break like so many other cheap-o's!

My son received this truck for Christmas when he was 1 1/2. He was overjoyed! It's a year later, and this truck has been through all sorts of extreme abuse indoors and out, and still looks practically as good as new and works perfectly. This is a high-quality toy that I think appeals to a wide age range.

This was purchased for a 20 month old boy. He loves to constantly open and close the cab and has put two little people in the cab to look at. But, this does not seem to matter so much now as it did at the beginning. He does not use the dump part of the truck to put items in and likes to leave it in a dump or slanted position. He now likes to leave the cab open and slanted at all times as well. He likes to line the truck up in convoy style with other cars and trucks that he has. I would say that he has not used the truck as I thought he would have with hauling loads, but he plays with it every day and it withstands a beating. A very durable toy, great to look at and a very nice size. Even though he gets much pleasure from the dump truck I think it would be better for an older boy, say 4-7. I am happy with this purchase and would recommend this Roadmax Dump Truck.

This toy delivered on all it promised. I imagine it will be in active play for several years. A very good choice as a first truck for a toddler.
