Lost in Love, October 20, 2008
This review is from: Bruised 2: The Ultimate Revenge (Paperback)
In the follow-up sequel to Bruised by Azarel, Carlie is trying to pick up the pieces to her puzzled life and make some changes for the better. Even though this is a sequel it was written well enough to be considered a stand alone. I was given enough information with flashbacks and memories to bring me upto speed with Carlie and her love life.
Carlie is now a famous lawyer, having experienced love with Devon a thugged-out drug dealer, Carlie, is ready to turn over a new leaf. Kirk used to be Devon's right-hand man but when the tables were turned and Devon went to jail, Kirk made every attempt to help heal Carlie's broken heart. Where Devon was manipulative, forceful, and violent, Kirk was the exact opposite, but Kirk did not fulfill Carlie, sexually or mentally the way Devon did.
Now Carlie has picked up the pieces of her heart and has her career underway, when she is working on a high profile case, Devon's mysteriously appeared, and Kirk has a side piece that is trying to kill her. Will the drama ever cease? Can Carlie learn from her past mistakes and leave Devon alone, even though after five years away he still has her heart?
Will Devon seek revenge on Kirk for stealing his girlfriend? Who is this woman that is trying to kill Carlie? And will she succeed. Stay tuned this book is drama-filled, from beginning to end.
I recommend this book to readers who are looking for a little excitement and a lot of suspense. Hold on to your seats because you will not believe who comes out on top.

It was good up until the end. I know its called the ultimate revenge, but taking a child is a little to much.

Everything Popping (token787), July 9, 2007
This review is from: Bruised 2: The Ultimate Revenge (Paperback)
Yes, Bruised and Bruised 2 was nice, everything was poppin in this book, for u to really get a good understanding of the book, u should read both books and feel the full effect. This was a good book, someone recommended it to me and now I can't believe I'm just now reading it. I just hate how certain things happen to some of the characters and how it ended, but it's a excellent read, at times I had to catch myself from smacking the invisible characters.
