Very classy Bruno..., March 3, 2010
This is a Bruno "Platinum" shoe, one that falls into their top of the range model line-up. Nice split toe up stitching front. As with most current Bruno's, the cut is narrow and very, very sleek. So sleek in fact you will definitely need to be wearing thin socks to get into them. You will also undeniably need the assistance of a shoe horn as well. That said, the shoe is very comfortable and soft, albeit snug. Leather is finely polished with a beautiful dual burgundy/black fade. The shoes actual color is exactly as pictured here. Size runs a full 1/2'' large. Is it worth the big bucks? For me it is for the simple reason these shoes are finely crafted through and through and look amazing on. That's it. Leather sole offers excellent support with just the right height in the heel. Tassels are elegant, yet subdued. A timeless design in my eyes that will never go out of style. Pitfalls ? Not many. Bruno should be including a shoe horn with all Platinum models for starters. The leather is so finely polished you will absolutely need to baby these two after every outing because every scratch or scuff mark is going to be very pronounced. Could be wider at the opening to allow for an easier on/off routine. That said, worn with the right dark slacks this Bruno will become a staple in your business wardrobe and garnish immediate accolades for years to come IMO.
