This review is from: Bruno Magli Men's Borino Oxford (Apparel)
Received the Borino yesterday and love them. Gray color pictured here is exactly as it appears in the flesh. This shoe is relatively heavy, as most Magli Platinum shoes are. Not sure why, but the weight feels substantial and oozes old world Italian craftsmanship. That said, the cut is very narrow with an emphasis on tradition IMO. You will not get remotely into the Borino without a shoe horn, so have one handy. The leather sole is beautifully stitched and put together. Heel is expertly carved with five hand-driven shoe nails in perfect juxtaposition. From the naked eye this shoe beams this inert personality and subtle charm while at the same time hugs your feet comfortably and snugly. Split front leather seam up front offers up panache without going overboard on the style front, with a timeless seam pattern along the sides that in my eyes that will never go out of style. Gray color itself is very modest, and will look positively great with virtually any dark dress pant in your wardrobe. One facet of Magli I have come to admire is their consistency in sizing, and the Borino does not disappoint in this regard. I wear a size 9 in Magli dress shoes, and that's exactly and perfectly this shoe is carved. No break-in time required either, another sign Magli knows exactly how to create a shoe that naturally conforms to your foots curvature. Wearing then as a matter of fact right now and can you first-hand they are worth every penny.
