I specifically wanted these for backyard birdwatching. They are light, focus easily, and are properly collimated. They have the feel of being well made. I think they are a fine choice for portable casual general use. They are of course limited for stargazing, but provide nice views of the milky way on a dark night.
I looked at Venus and it focused to a sharp disk, so the lenses are quality. I give the item 5 stars for its class of binoculars. I have not drop tested them and hope not to do so.

These binoculars have clear bright optics. They are perfect size for hunting and are very well made. They have excellent low light characteristics. Brunton makes fine quality optics. The rubber armor allows for quiet carrying, sure grip, and shock protection.
