5.0 out of 5 stars Superb viewing both near and far with remarkable ease!, August 10, 2005

This review is from: Brunton Epoch Full Size Binocular 7.5X43 (Sports)
I've now owned these binocs for several months and been able to compare them with the top of the line Zeiss, Canon, and Nikon glasses I also own. They are simply superb--optically impressive and the most rapidly focusing and easy to aim of all the glasses I've tried. Unlike, the other reviewer (of a higher powered pair) I detected no color aberrations or fringing whatever. The close focusing also makes them very fine for butterfly and insect viewing. Somehow the overall design makes these glasses incredibly easy to handle, to aim and to focus with remarkable ease. For me, they're the best I've ever owned. Since binocular choice is often a matter of individual preference, it may be worth trying several brands before choosing the best "fit" for you(e.g., I think Svarovski's are also very fine).

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb binocular, April 30, 2010

This review is from: Brunton Epoch Full Size Binocular 7.5X43 (Sports)
I have owned these binoculars (technically, "this binocular") for a couple of years. I have used other high-quality binoculars, but this is the finest I have owned. Image quality is superb and ease of use is top-notch. I had the opportunity to compare it to a Swarovski EL side-by-side, and if pressed I would say the EL might be a little sharper, but then again maybe not. They are that close in image quality, and the Swarovski's are over $500 more than the Brunton Epochs. If a $1000+ binocular can ever be called a bargain, these qualify. They are definitely a "best buy" at this level of binoculars.
