Brunton My-Ti Folding Fork and Spoon Set (Silver)

I wrote to Brunton to check if the set is dishwasher safe. They answer pretty fast. Another good thing of this set is that it fits in the JetBoil side band, which is pretty practical to save space for backpacking.

This is a very handy set. The price seems a little high, but when you consider the build quality and the fact that these are titanium and extremely sturdy and lightweight, I think in the end, price is justified. You do get what you pay for. I wish the handles were perhaps just an inch or two longer, but considering they're meant to be extremely compact when folded, it's not a bad compromise.

Here's something about the design that is very important, but might not be completely apparent at first glance. If you look at the photo, there is a little horizontal bar that slides down the handle. This is meant to slide, and is for stability when using the fork and spoon. When you unfold it, simply slide the little bar down the handle, towards the bottom spoon or fork half. This essentially "locks" the fork or spoon in the extended position. This way, you can pierce heavy pieces of food or scrape the bottom of that bowl to your heart's content, and it won't collapse or fold back on itself. When you're finished, slide the little bar back up, fold, and put the set away. Simple, right? Enjoy.

The foldable spoon and fork are light, and the cover are small and easy to carry inside my handbag. I am very satisfied with the Company's customer service.

I know there's nothing super exciting about a foldable spoon and fork set, but this is really a nice product. The utensils are very sturdy, and there are no useless parts that might be easily broken (in other words, no extraneous springs or latches or so forth). It's just a simple hinge with some tabs that keep the items in place when you fold them up. You also get a nifty carry "case" of sorts that has a loop on one end for easy attachment to a carabiner, and all in all the whole thing is very small (I'll post a picture later on).

It works, it feels durable, it takes up little space, is lightweight, has a case, and is priced nicely. You really couldn't ask for more.

Build quality is good for both fork and spoon. Nice and shiny. But both items do not fit very well inside included pouch.
