I bought this brush two months ago. It looked nice enough at first and I was pretty pleased with the purchase until today.

I didn't think much of it at the time, but I would notice the occasional brush bristle in the sink after a light brushing. However I simply chalked it up to the brush "breaking-in". However, today an entire grouping of bristles fell out while cleaning it. I was in the process of giving the brush a light tap on my hand when it occurred.

I'm really disappointed because this brush is very lightly used. It serves as my beard brush and I use it at most once a day. In fact, there are many days I abstain from using the brush at all and rely on my Kent combs instead. I am also quite gentle with how I stroke at my beard, so it's far from having been abused.

Having this bristles fall out so soon and under such light duty is really unacceptable. I will attempt to return this product or at least see if I can get a replacement.

Why why why have I been buying plastic brushes all these years. There is nothing like this. It feels amazing on my hair. It makes my hair look amazing. I feel like I been in the plastic hair brush dark ages all this time.

Many years ago, I received as a gift, a man's classic hairbrush made by the Fuller Brush Co. It was a very good brush. It has lasted decades! For many years I have searched for a brush of at least the same quality. I was not able to find any brush as good as the Fuller. Until now! The Bass Classic Men's Club brush is as good or better than my old Fuller brush. I don't know if it will last as long as the Fuller did, but at such a good price I don't mind having to replace it every decade or so!

This hair brush was a gift for my husband. His response is that it's great. Firm, but not hard bristles and right sized.

I shopped this against a much more expensive hairbrush, of similar design, also with natural bristles. Thanks to a shipping snafu, that one never showed up. In the end, that worked out fine. The Bass brush works and feels great on my thinning hair and thick beard. After a month of daily use, it has shed no bristles. The bamboo handle is a nice, lightweight, eco-friendly touch. At this price, I can keep one at home, and another in my desk at work. (I commute by bike, so an affordable anti-helmet-head device is most welcome.)

I'm not so into 5-star reviews, but four seems like demerit for its own sake. I have no regrets about not having gone for the super-premium model. This is all the hairbrush I could want.

I've never owned a brush in my life, always been a comb guy, but this winter my psoriasis has flared up pretty bad so I decided I needed a real brush to do a better job of getting all the flakes out and hopefully stimulate my scalp a bit, since improved bloodflow is thought to help. Brush has a nice, solid heft to it and definitely looks like it belongs in a man's bathroom. Feels great on the scalp and on my beard as well. It is a bit stiff but not painfully so.

Unfortunately, the brush I received has a three inch crack all the way through the wood from the front to the back on one side. It looks like the block of wood the brush is made of is actually smaller thicknesses of bamboo sandwiched together rather than one solid block and the crack is between the first and second pieces. I don't know if it split when they put in the decorative brass screws on the back or what since the crack is right next to one of them, but I'm concerned that over time that crack might get bigger or cause the brush to lose some bristles since the crack runs right through about eight of the bristle holes on the right side of the brush. Obviously they need to do a better job on quality control.

FALSE ADVERTISING (Link to picture evidence at bottom). This product is *not* 100% boar bristle, in fact has mostly nylon. I was confused after a few weeks of use that the brush wasn't getting softer nor retaining the oils that I apply on my beard. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the nylon. It's all over, there are a few boar's hair, but much of it is nylon (if you look at the product picture, everything that is purely black is nylon). Do not buy this product. I confirmed by removing a few bristles and burning them. Definitely not hair, it melted. This may work for some people, but as someone with sensitive skin the nylon (which doesn't soften over time like the boar's bristle) just irritates my skin.

Here are some bristles that I put through the fire test from this brush. As you can see, they are synthetic: https://i.imgur.com/NfZJWGM.jpg
