Shimpaku Juniper Bonsai
Arrived well packaged and pretty much 'as advertised', i.e., it looks very similar to the image shown on the Amazon page. So far it's done very well in the summer heat of Boise, ID. This is not my first bonsai so I'm somewhat familiar with how to care for them. It needs water and misting every day when it's hot and as others have pointed out, this is a tree so thrives...

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED!
Well I received my Bonsai today UPS. It was packaged very well but none of the branch's are bent like the picture. That is what my step-dad likes the most and it didnt say it was OUTDOORS only. Now I dont really know what we will do. I am hoping a natural light will do the trick so he can keep it indoors. WOW. Its a birthday present and I cant send it back and it was...

Well I received my Bonsai today UPS. It was packaged very well but none of the branch's are bent like the picture. That is what my step-dad likes the most and it didnt say it was OUTDOORS only. This is not my first bonsai so I'm somewhat familiar with how to care for them. It needs water and misting every day when it's hot and as others have pointed out, this is a tree so thrives best when left outdoors. The shimpaku juniper is one of the easier outdoor bonsai to care for so a good choice for a first bonsai. It's an attractive and enjoyable addition to the zen space on my back deck.
