deathmetal from future past, August 2, 2004

Chaosbreed is motley collection of seasoned musicians from bands like Amorphis, Moonsorrow and Mannhain. This band is their channel to have fun and play old school deathmetal and drink some "jaloviina". If you have heard your piece of Entombed, Autopsy, Carnage...you know what to expect. Production is terrific, not too clean, put very powerful and, yes, brutal. Guitars attacks with sunlight studios -styled rough edge. Vocals are somewhere in middle tones of death growl. This is not fastest band in planet, but that's because their only doping is alcohol. Best tracks are Casked Ride and fast deathrock S**tgrinder. Bewarned, someby may not like song Faces of Death which lifts riff straight from Slayer. I think that this song is very good, though. If you need more convincing before you buy this, I mention that Uffe and Jörgen from Entombed are making some noise for this album. This is one of those records which make you to blow dust from your old 80's democasette's and discover again how fun and gripping deathmetal was before it came technical.
