4.0 out of 5 stars Best overall cd for 2003
I love this cd to death, quite literally. Every track is God except for the last few which I view as filler (other then that dope remix on the very last track), but you can't deny Necro on his lyrics even if the last few beats fall flat. This is real hip-hop, so all you pop lovers beware! A man with this much talent deserves to be worshiped. Goretex, Ill Bill, and...

3.0 out of 5 stars DECENT BUT NOT GREAT
Most of the reviews from here seem to be right on the mark but their giving him too much by giving him four stars. Im extremely skeptical of "underground" "talent" but I heard "I Need.." and I thought i might as well give this guy a chance. Please look at my other reviews to see the albums that i like and dislike to see if you like my tastes...

This is real hip-hop, so all you pop lovers beware! A man with this much talent deserves to be worshiped. Goretex, Ill Bill, and Sabac all come hotter then my bodily fluids on a friday night, Mr. Hyde's track is killer too. Too bad Goretex is such a flake and won't see a solo release on Psycho-Logical. Lookin forward to the solo Ill Bill: What's Wrong With Bill-- hittin' the streets next year. Keep it up Necro, I love you with all my blackened heart....

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Gory Days or I Need Drugs, September 19, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Brutality 1 (Audio CD)
This CD is very good, however it is definitely not as good as Gory Days or I Need Drugs. The beats are very dark, as is typical with Necro production, but they are missing something. I think what is missing is the fire from his previous two albums. The beats are a bit more laid back, more chill. But "Reign in Blood" is one of the tightest track I have ever heard and makes this album well worth it. Swordfish, Anguish & Aggression, and Morbid S**t are pretty good too. Oh, If you don't have it go cop Street Villians. It's Necro and Ill Bill over top of mainstream beats and some remixes. The production is not Necro's but his rhymes are simply amazing on that album.

This Jack Light kid is a total p-ssy. I noticed you only write reviews on psycho+logical albums and completely sh-t all over them. You don't like Necro??? Great!!! Stick to your Cornball "J5" safe hip hop and don't allow any "cowardly" hip hop artist to warp and destroy your feeble little mind. Necro would snuff you in the mouth for being such a little b-+-h. Talk about being a coward, sitting there comfortably talking sh-t on your parents computer. You kook.

With that said, ignore his little sermon and peep this out. If you still live at home with mom and dad, go to church, and pee the bed then stay away from this. If you dig quality beats and brutal rhymes delivered by true emcee's then pick this up. This is one of the best releases from Psycho+Logical. Standout cuts include - "Dopesick", "Swordfish" and my personal favorite "Reign in Blood". Unless you have problems distinguishing fantasy from reality, this is a must buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Necro is tha real thing!!, October 21, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Brutality 1 (Audio CD)
I started listening to Necro about 4 years ago, and right away I loved his music. His lyrics are almost genious, and this new cd is well... great. I got Gory Dayz from a friend and at once I enjoyed his lyrics, especially, "Morbid." This new cd should have featured more people, but overall its a great cd, and i also recommend Nonphixion to all ya'll cats.

5.0 out of 5 stars Underground Hip Hop by 1 of the greatest!, January 23, 2010
This review is from: Brutality 1 (Audio CD)
A true must have for any fan! Necro, rips it up on this album as well as every other album he makes. Like a fine wine, Necro's albums get sicker and gorier with each track. Necro has been spittin' in this game for years now; it's time he gets the recognition he well deserves.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sick Beats & Dark Rhymes! What MORE Do You Want?!...., November 25, 2009
This review is from: Brutality 1 (Audio CD)
Some of the reviews say that the production quality of this album is not up to snuff.... I think thats what makes it SO dope!.... It might not be as "pro" as the mainstream releases, or even as what NECRO would come out with later, but its still really BUMPABLE!.... Is that a word?!.... YEAH< cuz I SAID SO!.... I love hearing how artists progress over time & finding that even when they were in the beginnings, they were STILL worthwhile & TOTALLY AMAZING.... Necros pretty genius.... If you dont have this CD, you should!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not Necro's best but still gruesome!, October 8, 2003
By
This review is from: Brutality 1 (Audio CD)
Production: great samples/beats but seemed like Necro did not put in time into them. he simply makes it sound like he just let a sample play all the way thru instead of breaking down or switching beats. still- they are a lot of great tracks- just from a producers point of view. his other releases(especially gory days) were more complicated.

Lyrics: man- that first track- Necro ripped it apart like the animal he is. simply awesome. the collabo's are on point and i am pretty satisfied with the overall album lyrically.

this album is worth picking up. i guess the only negative remark is the lack of good production as far as putting the track together to sound more professional. everything else is great. listen to that "white slavery" wow!
