Brute Wrestling Quad Iii Ear Guards

Based on information and reviews that I've found on the net, I was looking to get my hands on some Brute Shockwave headgear. Unfortunately for whatever reason, the Shockwave has been discontinued. So I was on the search for some headgear.

I ended up trying the Brute Quad III, the Asics Quantum, Cliff Keen Tornado.

The Brute Quad III:

Pros
- Low Profile (lowest profile of the 3)
- Comfortable
- No hard plastic on the interior

Cons
- Difficulty hearing compared to the others.
- Velcro strap on the top might feel abrasive to my training partners.

Although I do like these I do usually go with the Asics because of how cushy and comfortable they are.

I roll BJJ (no gi) and started developing cuts in the creases of my ears. My ears would hurt for a day or two after training, so I looked into ear guards. Man, what a DIFFERENCE! These are perfect - they are very sleek on the side of your head and do not impede any wrestling or jiu jitsu techniques. They really do a great job protecting your ears from damage. I got the green ones and they look exactly like the pictures here. They also arrived just 2 days aftr my order. Very satisifed with these and will probably order one for my son for Christmas.

I use this ear guard three times a week. It holds up to the brutal onslaught from my intense teammates.

Excellent quality, wrong color. I ordered black, got red, which has caused some snickering. The ear guards are perfectly functional, however.
