This makes a very cute and inexpensive gift for black & tan (or half & half, blacksmith, snake bite, etc.) lovers. I was thrilled to get one, even though it's not quite as good for pour-overs as a bent tablespoon, since it sits at the very top of the glass. It does work though, plus it doubles as a bottle opener and keeps wives from getting upset over ruined spoons. Durable and dishwasher safe too. Great gift.

The perfect tool to pour a perfect half & half! Highly recommended. Makes a professional bartender out of us amateurs!

This is a great product to make Black and Tan beers at home. Simply take a standard pint mug, fill it halfway up with the ale of your preference (I recommend Bass or Smithwicks), put the "Black and Tan Turtle" on the top of the mug and pour the freshly opened can or bottle of Guinness on top of the turtle and it makes the perfectly separated black and tan. Great product and easy to use! Enjoy!!

Lagerhead Black & Tan Turtle: This is a great option for creating a Black&Tan or Half&Half.... My very first effort was a beautiful glass of Guinness and Bass Ale, the second creation was Guinness and Harp... I am convince the Turtle is definately better than the old upside down spoon...

I am a true fan of the Lagerhead Black and Tan turtle! It works great and is easier and more entertaining to bring out than a typical black and tan spoon. If you enjoy making your own layered beer beverages (the package comes with recipes for other options than a typical american style black and tan) than this is the product to own. The only time this doesn't work perfectly is when the nitrogen cartridge in the bottle or can of Guinness doesn't activate properly, and in that case it is not a Lagerhead design flaw. I bought one, and now most of my friends did too.

The design is cute and looks exactly like a turtle. It works great and looks good with a bar set, my friends compliment it all the time or asks what it does then wants to try it!

We bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend but will definitely be getting another for ourselves and others. If you like drinking black and tans it makes making them much easier. The "turtle" sits evenly on the glass (no more trying to balance a spoon on the rim) and you just pour the beer over it. It's also a bottle opener and a great conversation starter. Highly recommend it!

If you like black & tans or half & halfs this is the tool for you.I've tried the spoon and it just doesn't cut it.Turtle power is a must have for mixed beers.

My boyfriend and I killed a few cases of black and tan beers trying to pour this drink perfectly not realizing you need a spoon to seperate it just right. I bought 5 of these spoons to give away as Christmas gifts putting together several Snakebike "kits" that included Guiness, Ace Pear Cider,this SPOON, and pub glasses. The gift is perfect for any guy. It's a must have if you enjoy pouring mosre exotic beers. I am ready to try the black velvet now!! Guiness and Champagne :)!! MMmmmmm
