This review is from: Bryophyte Biology (Paperback)
I 'somewhat' support the previous review, but the title does suggest it is about bryo bio. It is very good about covering the many aspects of bryophyte biology. Stress tolerance, reproduction, community make-up, dessication, and so on. As a lichen and moss student, I found it very very interesting and helpful. As always the lit cited sections are another bounty of information for additional inquiries! If you have a choice - buy it used and paperback... It would also be a great supplemental text in a bryo bio course. Again - it is very informative and not full of fifty cent words. I feel a reader with a decent background and interest in plant phys would be comfortable with it.

Twenty-first century science of the mosses. The text demands familiarity with the latest biological concepts of genetics and molecular biology.
