4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting new flossing device
Novel idea that works okay. You have to be careful not to cut your gums when first using these flossing devices and it takes a little practice and some getting used to. They are a bit flimsy and not really that re-usable as they get bent and mangled with use. That being said, there aren't many great alternatives out there and this product will be in my purse until...

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor Substitute for Floss
A novel idea, but this item is more like a fancy toothpick than a true flosser.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor Substitute for Floss, September 12, 2008
This review is from: Brytonpick - 10 Pack - INTERDENTAL CLEANER - Also available in 3, 20 & 30 Packs (Health and Beauty)
A novel idea, but this item is more like a fancy toothpick than a true flosser.

Flossing is meant to not only clean between the teeth, but also get below the gumline (where gum disease germs exist and do their damage). This product will only get between the teeth and will not remove plaque germs from the tooth beneath the gum line. If fact, it is a very delicate process of pushing the thin blade through your teeth so that you do not jam it up suddenly into your gum tissue.

Personally, I carry a vial of floss in my car and after a meal when I cannot brush, I use the floss and rinse with water. The floss I like best is Reach Dental Floss, Mint Waxed 55 yd (50.3 m) (Pack of 12). Alternatively, if you want to carry a portable flosser with you, a really good one is Reach Access Power Flosser (Colors Vary).

For a portable toothpick product there are many better than this one. I recommend Brushpicks Toothpicks by Doctors - 250 Each. These are much easier to use and are more effective than this product.

I thought these would be a great solution to a gap between my two furthest back upper molars where large amounts of food get stuck on a regular basis. I keep dental floss in my purse, but sometimes its just inconvenient to use floss (where do you put used floss in a car?). I put the Brytonpick in my mouth and not only was it uncomfortable but it didn't get the food out. I went to pull it out of my mouth and sliced a deep cut in my cheek/corner of my mouth. I had to hold salt water in my mouth for several minutes to get it to stop bleeding. I do have a small mouth and close together teeth, but I can't imagine giving this to a child.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Flosser, August 27, 2008
This review is from: Brytonpick - 10 Pack - INTERDENTAL CLEANER - Also available in 3, 20 & 30 Packs (Health and Beauty)

A friend of mine gave me one. I was puzzled at first, but it is intuitive...I had some trouble finding it in my area so I bought it here. I have to say I love it! It really is easy and convenient, I keep it in my wallet and use it after I eat. It beats carrying around a box of floss, and I don't like the waste stream involved with those throw away flossers.
Like the previous review, it is very flexible, once you get a hang of sliding it you can do so without it bending so much.
I don't leave home without it! It is addictive!

This product is fantastic, it takes a few trys to get used to it but after that its quick. I keep it in my purse, so I never leave home without it! Nothing worse than a smile with celery in it!
