My dissatisfaction with this anthology is not the author's fault. I thought I knew what I was getting into and I didn't. So, I figured a review to that effect may help others in choosing whether to add this to their cart.

Don't get me wrong, I expected non-consensual sex/rape and a darker theme to these stories. The title is pretty obvious, after all. However, I was anticipating something in the vein of The Initiation of Pb500 - the subjugation of a man to another's will via BDSM or the like. Or, slave stories such as in the Roman Empire. The first tale of slaves rising against their Viking-like conquerors started out good. A slave is giving a massage to his homophobic master with a very special salve. The salve has hallucinogenic properties that make the man sexually submissive and the slave becomes the master. The story was pretty hot, especially once the Viking realized who really had the upper hand. I enjoyed the story right up to the end when it concluded with a scene of bestiality. That is not erotic for me in any way, shape or form and pretty much ruined it (the author does indicate that's not a usual theme for him). I decided to move on the next story, wherein I found something of a theme, the use of "date rape" drugs. In the first story it was the salve, in the second it was the mucus from, of all things, a leech, then hypnotism... But the stories really were more a rape, and no BDSM. Boring for me, actually.

For those looking for rape fantasy, this would probably be a good choice. For those expecting a strong BDSM theme, this doesn't measure up. I'm not sure that I would try the other anthology without reading some more specific reviews (which both volumes currently lack), but I liked the author's writing style enough that I would like to try his vampire novel, Blood Fever: The Misadventures of Jeremy (A Boner Book).

Let me give you the word about "B'tched" -- this is a fun well-written ride along a roller coaster made up of obnoxious hotties being taught to love the guys they despise, sometimes by hypnosis, sometimes by drugs, sometimes by the lure of the internet. I think my favorite story is "Suited Up" because it has big, bad, beautiful Bart being betrayed into boy-toy status by himself even as he thinks he's in control of the situation. "The Ancient Krill" was fun but be warned about the ending; it is NOT for everyone (me included), though I did like Bra-Ian's subjugation and the sex between him and The Krill slave was hot up to that point. "James and the Leeches" uses symbolism to remind one of how certain drugs can help you find a cute idiot to have fun with...not that I'm advocating anything illegal.

Kyle Cicero's style is easy and casual, and the sex is hot and long-term, and I like how it can shift to fit the story -- be it third or first person or stream-of-consciousness, like in "B'tched" and "...The Journey Continues." Very good work overall. Obviously, I think he should keep it up -- in every sense of the word (can I say that on Amazon?) -- and I've already got his new vampire book to read; can't wait to get down with that and see what variations he comes up with here.

It took me a while to purchase this book because I am really not a fan of compilation stories -a book full of short stories -I prefer the long drawn out tales. But I knew what I was buying when I bought it and so the fact that is a book of short stories did not bother me. I will go story by story to describe my likes and dislikes.

First "James and the Leeches" is about a young hot actor who is heterosexual and working on one of his scenes with the script writer. The script writer is gay and he wants to "trick" the hot hetero into having sex with him. So what he does is he gets a species of Leech that secretes a chemical that induces sexual arousal and drug-like hallucination. So the actor -thinking that he is preparing for a scene, lets the writer put the leeches on him and so he gets tipsy and gives the writer a hot show before letting the writer top him. The story was ok, but the way I see it, a gay guy drugged an innocent straight guy to have sex with him. That was kind of predatory and jacked up, so I give this story 2stars.

Next "B'tched" and "B'tched The Story Continues" was an interesting story, but it was not erotic at all. This story takes place in the mind of a single character, sitting in front of a computer getting off on making himself vulnerable to an online companion. He gets off on telling this stranger about his personal life and his weaknesses. In the end he gives this guy money and gets off on being bitched into giving gifts to a total stranger for online companionship. It was an interesting idea and got me thinking of ways that I could increase my bank account so I will give this story 1.5 stars. Because it really did not belong in this book entitled "EROTIC Tales of Men In Submission".

Third was "He's Better Suited Ted" -THIS IS WHAT I EXPECTED. I liked this story. Ted is a complete and total homophobic prick. He has no morals, he is such an a$$hole that what he got was so perfect but (NOT B*TCHED ENOUGH). Ok so Ted is a business man, looking to get to the top and he didnt care who he clawed and crushed to get there. His account was with a business man named Gary who is described as old -but how old is not explained. Ted thinks he has Gary backed into a wall and is about to close his career making deal all the while knowing that Gary was making a bad investment. He has no respect for Gary and calls him horrible names (not to the man's face) and accepts gifts from the man and leads him on sexually without having any intensions of making good on his advances. N-E way, Gary sets him up to meet with Merle a watch dealer who uses a watch to hypnotise Ted and it is in this state that Ted is transformed into a total Biz'Nye'Itch. They drilled him good, Gary in the back and Merle in the front. In the end Ted became Gary's property. I give this story 4.5stars, because I wanted them to do a double penetration, and then fist him, cause Ted was a mess and needed to get worked over to the point of no return.

Moving on to "Bra-Ian And The Ancient Krill" this was probably the best of them all. Bra-Ian is a high ranking soldier (apparently from another story written by Cicero) Bra-Ian was among the men that over threw and enslaved Krill's race. Bra-Ian has this long blonde braid that is a symbol of his manhood and his power and he walks around naked and sexy not at all trying to turn Krill on. He is rude to Krill and is even cruel to his own pets (two dogs) Krill has a massage oil that has (magical?) properties which turns Bra-Ian into a complete and submissive sex slave. Krill massages his "master's" gorgeous body with the oil and as the (magic?) begins to work, he spanks, and sodomizes Bra-Ian, while Bra-Ian whines and wimpers. Krill has a huge member and uses it well, before completely turning Bra-Ian out and cutting off his braid. I give this story a solid 5 stars, although the ending with the dogs raping Bra-Ian was a little interesting. But the way he treated those dogs, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU EXPECT. Great Story. I would have liked for Bra-Ian to have gotten fisted, LOL!!! That would have been awsome.

Now we come to "Suited Up" this story had too much vagina in it. That is not the business, I read M/M romance to get away from overt objectification of women in mainstream literature LMAO!!!! Its true, ok so N-E way, The first several pages was not working for me. I wanted less slit and more stick. This guy named Bart went to business school and realized that out of business school most business men end up working in the mailroom until they have paid their dues (as if college isnt enough) NE way, he wants to be rich he wants to be powerful and so he whines and dines old rich women for money and status and hoping to hump his way to the top. At a business get-together, he meets a girl who he thinks is the bosses daughter. She is a virgin and naive and he wants to take advantage of the Japanese obsession with honor. (This girl is japanese by the way)so he seduces her takes her in back for a long way too drawn out description of his having sex with her and then he promises to marry her to uphold her honor. She agrees, they gloat to the girls fiance and the fiance takes him in back where he hypnostises him with an orb and then the fiance and the girls father force him to masturbate and finger himself against his will, although under the power of the orb he has no control over his will. He knows what he is doing and he is horrified by it, but he cannot control himself. So the father ends up sodomizing him and he becomes a product to be sold to the male japanese elite. (the old man was not the girls father, they just set Bart up,but he deserved it) I give this story 2.5 stars, it was hot, it was not B'itched enough because Bart was a-hole and deserved more punishment, but like I said, there was too much V-Gee.

Finally, LAST BUT BY NO STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION LEAST, "The Roman and the Barbarian". Let me say this was a very good story, it was the best and it was HARSH. I was in pain after reading this one, and I think I had a nightmare about it. This just may have gone too far for me. NO...I can go further I think. This story is about a Roman elite (and Centurion) -This is Cicero's story he can do whatever he wants - named Marcus, who really was not a bad guy. In my opinon Marcus was gay and having a hard time dealing with it. NE way on the battle field he meets a German enemy and is overpowered by him, until the German takes a spear to the back. The German is captured and taken to Rome to be sold as a slave. Marcus buys him and then gives into the slaves sexual advances. Marcus likes being dominated by the slave and the slave uses this to his advantage to humiliate Marcus infront of the Roman elite. Marcus is banished from Rome for letting a slave sodomize him and as a result Marcus' Centurion spirit is broken and falls to the will of the German (by the way the German's name is Cian) Ok, so now Marcus has completely lost his mind and will do anything to please his master Cian -even rape his 18year old brothr and initiate a gang rape where he and his younger brother (Marcus is 26) are the recievers in a train of other slaves. Cian is enjoying this (he ordered Marcus to rape his brother and let the slaves rape marcus as well) So after he is well worked over by all the slaves in the house, Marcus leaves to get busy with Cian, all the while his brother is screaming in agony as he is being repeatedly abused by the servants. In the end Marcus comes face to face with Centurions he had known in from the battle field, the Centurions are disgusted by him, and they beat him up, gang rape him and then urinate on him. When Cian finds out he punishes Marcus and then forces him to kiss his feet. Ok, so i need therapy, because this story was pretty hot, albeit disturbing to an extreme degree. I give this story 5 stars. But I must say that I was bothered by Marcus (an obvious gay man) being punished so cruelly. He was not like Ted, Bart and Bra-Ian, Marcus was a good guy that just needed a little love (and domination.)

Overall I gave this book 3 stars because it was ok. I would have liked for it to have gone further. I mean, you have a man getting raped by dogs and an 18year old boy getting gang raped by his 26year old brother and then a house full of servants, I mean why not shove a few objects and toys into the mix. More chains, more whips, a little electic shock and some daredevil activity, HELL how about some real DEVIL activity. I am moving on to MORE TALES OF MEN IN SUBMISSION. Thanks Mr. Cicero you are quite the entertainer.

I normally love gay erotica, especially if it's spiced up with a little bit
of dominance and submission. My favorite author is M. Christian. Now he can
write a hot story of rough gay sex!
But this author who is, presumably gay, and I would hope, proud of it, falls
far short. If these stories are meant to exite, why then does he continue to
insist, in every single story, that anal sex is unmanly and shameful?
Does the author have his own issues with self-hatred? Or does he think all
gay men still have those issues?
I couldn't enjoy these stories simply because the men involved didn't seem to
be gay at all. It was just about revenge using sex as a weapon.

Very erotic.

Lots of Straight Studs being forced into gay submissive situations and loving it.
