5.0 out of 5 stars BTNHResurrection is a MUST BUY.
F#%K what'cha heard. Obviously some people who write reviews for mags & online reviews just don't get it. It ain't all about harmonizing over soft beats, which some of these so-called "professional" reviewers might have you think. BTNHResurrection is far more than that. This is an album signifying the return of the greatest selling hip-hop group ever...

3.0 out of 5 stars More of what we have come to expect from Bone!
Let's get right to it, about half of the tracks are bumpin' good songs, and the other half are filler. But the good songs on here make it totally worth buying. The musical and lyrical style of Bone truly is one of a kind, and they are among few groups in the rap game that combine deep lyrics with beautiful music. No Way Out, Change The World, Righteous Ones, Can't Give It...

F#%K what'cha heard. Obviously some people who write reviews for mags & online reviews just don't get it. It ain't all about harmonizing over soft beats, which some of these so-called "professional" reviewers might have you think. BTNHResurrection is far more than that. This is an album signifying the return of the greatest selling hip-hop group ever. It's also an album which might be the LAST for them as a whole group. Yes, Bizzy Bone may be gone from Bone now, but he definitely makes his presence known on this album. The album features stellar production from DJ Uneek (Ecstasy, Weed Song, & Change the World, along wit three others), LT Hutton (Battlezone), JT Thomas (Souljahs Marching, Resurrection), and Darren Vegas (The Righteous Ones, One Night Stand). But it AINT just the production that is stellar on this album. It's the fact that Bone mixed it up. Did somethin different. Experimented. And although it leaves maybe an incomplete feeling hearin only three members on some songs, it's different. And it's also nice to see Flesh & Bone get the kind of spotlight he deserves, bein on almost all of the trax instead of the two or three he's normally on on Bone's albums. The standout trax on this album are Ecstasy (perfect blend of thugishness and harmony), The Righteous Ones (a beautifully crafted track), Battlezone (Krayzie absolutely RIPS this), Weed Song (almost sounds like a bedtime song you'd let your kids listen to before bed. SMOOTH. A lot of harmony), and Souljahs Marching. And of course, Resurrection (Paper, Paper) which, although he isn't in the video, features Flesh. This albums only drawbacks are trax like 2 Glocks & Can't Give It Up. These little dittys don't do nuthin for me. But, the high points FAR outweigh the low. So forget a magazine review. Trust this one. Go buy this album NOW! You will NOT be dissapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bone Thugs are back, March 7, 2000
By
Armando Ramirez (Cupey Alto, Puerto Rico) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Btnhresurrection (Audio CD)
Bone Thugs N Harmony have been my favorite group ever since they came out with the Thugghish Ruggish Bone. This new album beats them all in my opinion. The sound is more futuristic and the lyrics are better than ever. All the tracks are pretty good. And the fact that no intro or interludes are on this album make it even better. The best songs in my opinion are Show Em, Battlezone, Ressurection(Paper Paper), Souljahs Marching, and Murder One. All the other tracks are great too. I think this is better some of the recent rap albums that have dropped. No one keeps it realer than Bone Thugs in my opinion. With so many rap artists concerned with only what people like to hear, Bone Thugs reverse that with rapping from their hearts and saying what they feel. Like on the songs Change The World, No Way Out, and Dont Worry, Bone Thugs tell their listeners to stay strong and to try to make things positive. Those are things that many rappers avoid, they just choose to boast about their lables and their lyrical skills and try to make people feel sorry for them. Theirs too much of that in the rap industry and thats ok on a few songs but these rappers need to realize that theres more than that to make a record that everyone will feel. With Krayzie, Bizzy, Layzie, Wish, and Flesh as a full time member, Bone Thugs stand at the top with this fresh new album for the fans

5.0 out of 5 stars holdin it down!, March 31, 2000
This review is from: Btnhresurrection (Audio CD)
Bone is still holdin' it down. This CD has shown that they are still gangsta'd out but they know that it's more going on than the everday stuff. They are definitely holdin' it. If you want to hear music about what's real, listen to this. If you want to see that gangsta'd out shorties still got something to hope for, check it out. I am especially feeling CHANGE THE WORLD featuring BIG B. The lyrics are tight the arrangement is tight everything is just on point. I want to know more about this artist and see him out there doing his own thing. CHECK OUT BIG B---CHANGE THE WORLD. This CD is definitely one that I'm glad I bought.STAY MYSTERIOUS BONE!

5.0 out of 5 stars Listen to my battlecry, March 9, 2000
This review is from: Btnhresurrection (Audio CD)
THIS CD IS BONE'S BEST YET. YES, IT'S BETTER THAN E1999 ETERNAL. ALL OF THE SONGS ARE TIGHT AND BONE SEEMS TO HAVE SPED UP THEIR RAPPING EVEN MORE. GLOCKS, THE RIGHTEOUS ONES, BATTLEZONE, WEED SONG, AND PAPER, PAPER RANK AMONG BONE'S BEST SONGS TO DATE. THE ONLY BONE CD THAT IS EVEN CLOSE TO THIS ONE IS KRAYZIE BONE'S THUG MENTALITY 1999. DEFINATELY CHECK THIS ONE OUT.

First of all, Rickey Wright. That ignorant review you had signifies that you do not know anything about rap. BONE is the best rap group around. They got the flow, the lyrics, and the beats. You cant top that. Their albums keep getting better and better. I suggest that you, Rickey, do no more reviews on such albums. I think that all BONE and rap fans will agree with me. All in all this album is tops. This is the album of the new millenium.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ricky Wright should be fired....., March 7, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Btnhresurrection (Audio CD)
As a Bone fan, im naturally gonna disagree with a negative review for a Bone album, but Ricky Wright went too far. Bone is just getting started my friend. This new cd showcases some of their best work to date. "Show em" is a nice, raw Bone song, and shows that Bone is still very much a force to be reckoned with. "The Righteous Ones" is one of the best Bone songs in a long time, perhaps the best song on the album. Other great tracks include Ecstasy, Murda One, Ressurection, Change The World, Mind On Our Money, Dont Worry, and Battlezone. The rest of the songs are good too though. Bone uses some different beats on this album, and its a nice new flava. Lyrically, this is Bones best album yet. Also, people REALLY need to stop comparing every Bone release to E.1999 Eternal. Sure, this album isnt quite as strong as E.1999 Eternal, but why would you expect it to be? E.1999 Eternal is the greatest album EVER made, and NO ONE, whether it be Bone or anyone else, will top Eternal. So, give this new cd a chance and show Bone some love, and pick this album up! Its off the hinges. Lyrically, i like it better than E.1999 Eternal even, but Eternal is just too groundbreakin to beat. But who cares? BTNHresurection is a great album, and a must have for anyone. Disregard Ricky Wrights review. He obviously has his head stuck up......well, you know the rest. But take my word for it, you will like this cd! Bone really came through on this one! Peace.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another masterpiece from Bone..., March 1, 2000
This review is from: Btnhresurrection (Audio CD)
Bone has done it again. After 2 years since their last "studio" album, Bone brings us a new album with a different flavor. This is Bone's most mature effort yet, even more mature than the Art Of War. The beats on this cd are much different than any previous Bone album, cuz Bone worked with 4 different producers here: LT Hutton, James "JT" Thomas, Darren Vegas, and of course, DJ U-Neek. The albums also has Flesh N Bone on most of the songs instead of just a few, and Flesh performs better than ever. His voice is rawer instead of that whispery voice he was using lately, and his lyrics are sharper than ever. Wish Bone also makes a strong comeback on this album. Krayzie, Bizzy, and Layzie perform strong as usual. The whole album concept is Bone not breaking up (as many people thought they did), and coming back stronger than ever. With raw, thugged out tracks such as "Show Em", "Murda One", "Souljaz Marchin" to beautifully constructed songs like "The Righteous Ones", "Ressurection", "Ecstasy", "Battlezone" to deep, postive meaning tracks like "Change The World", "Dont Worry" and the story telling track "Mind On Our Money" (telling Bone's history), this album has it all. The production is maybe a shade less than E.1999 Eternal, the greatest album ever made by them, and PERIOD. Lyrically, this is the best bone album EVER (so far). Bone's vocabulary has expanded greatly, probably due to the experience with their solo albums. This album is done with beautiful pyro-technic skill, and is muscially superior to ANYTHING else coming out in the near future in hip hop right now. They are the greatest rap group ever, as they have proved it with timeless classic after classic, and prove it once again with this musical/lyrical masterpiece. Bone is truely the master of creating the "concept" album. This album should sell ALOT, and it deserves to. Buy this now!

As a longtime Bone Thugs fan, I admit I put off buying "BTNHResurrection" for much too long. I didn't think anything could top other albums like "Creepin on ah Come Up", "E 1999 Eternal", "Art of War", or "Thug Mentality" and I expcted to be disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised, as "BTNHResurrection" deserves to be spoken of in the same company as the previously mentioned. Bone is lyrically great here, sounding more mature than previously, less mainstream oriented than on "The Art of War". The production, handled by DJ U-Neek, LT Hutton, and Jamie Thomas is consistent and good, fitting their style perfectly. This is also the only Bone album where Flesh-N-Bone appears consistently, on the vast majority of the tracks. On "BTNHResurrection", Bone's lyrics deal with shutting down rumors, and then evolve to the thuggish imagery of their previous albums, along with a few great inspirational tracks thrown in. "BTNHResurrection" is definitely a great album deserved to be owned by any passing BTNH fan.

The album leads off with the strong "Show 'Em", anchored by Bizzy, shunning haters over a tough beat. "The Righteous Ones" is a hard song with a weird chorus by David's Daughters. "2 Glocks" is a well produced, tough song led by Krayzie in the chorus. On "Battlezone", a good war song, Krayzie and Bizzy lead with a good chorus and singing. On "Ecstasy", Bone deals with a new drug on the block, with a beat reminiscent of "Smokin Buddha". Bizzy sings the chorus on the strong "Murder One", as Krayzie does on the similarly good "Souljahs Marching". After the pretty good "Servin' the Fiends" is the best track, "Resurrection (Paper, Paper)". It's a slower track, excellently produced with a great bassline and instrumentals, a teamed chorus with Krayzie and Bizzy, and top notch philosophical verses from all. "Weed Song" is an evolved "Buddah Lovaz", with old soul samples. "Change the World" is another great highlight, led by Bizzy Bone's thoughtful chorus. They deal with the problems in the world and how to change them, with DJ U-Neek's famous piano instrumental. "Don't Worry" is an inspirational, happier song with a piano and bass beat and good lyrics. "Mind on Our Money" and "No Way Out" are both standard, hard Bone Thugs songs, and the album ends with a bonus solo track by Bizzy Bone.

Anyone who owns and thoroughly enjoys any Bone Thugs-N-Harmony release (as I imagine you do if you are reading this) would definitely love "BTNHResurrection". It is a very strong album, exhibiting all the talent, lyrics, and production that makes Bone great.

3.0 out of 5 stars More of what we have come to expect from Bone!, July 10, 2005
This review is from: Btnhresurrection (Audio CD)
Let's get right to it, about half of the tracks are bumpin' good songs, and the other half are filler. But the good songs on here make it totally worth buying. The musical and lyrical style of Bone truly is one of a kind, and they are among few groups in the rap game that combine deep lyrics with beautiful music. No Way Out, Change The World, Righteous Ones, Can't Give It Up, Ecstacy, and of course Resurrection are all off the chain. All of these songs have great beat and mad flow, and aren't about typical rap topics, such as killing and flossing how much money they have. For being a legendary group, far outselling most rappers, it is classy of them to not make songs just about flossin'. Be sure to listen to the samples, especially the ones I've listed here, and if you appreciate any kind of musical artistry at all then that should be enough to sell you on this cd.
