Our whole family LOVES Bubba! This is a fantastic, extremely funny twist on the old "Cinderella" tale. The art work is amazing - we delight in the illustrations and the book is just plain fun to read! My daughter adores the fact that Bubba [the "boy" Cinderella in this tale] wants to go to the ball with Miz Lurlene [its a cool change!].

We read this in a Texas drawl [you almost can't help it!] and just have loads of laughs with every re-reading. We originally checked this out of the library on a whim and have since bought our own copy [and will probably be giving copies for birthday presents too!]. This book is money well spent - and one I truly don't mind reading for the 3,000th time!

This book is fabulous! My son loves it and I look forward to reading it to him. The story is a twist on the classical "Cinderella" story but set on a ranch in Texas and this time Cinderella is a cowboy! It's the best! I can't tell you how much everyone who reads it raves about it.

My first grade class absolutely loves Bubba! They want me to talk like Miz Lurlene all the time...what a good Texas accent can do to entertain and keep kids on task! They know all the words by heart! When Miz Lurlene talks, they listen. I did not tell my students that it was a Cinderella take off, and one of my boys jumped up in the middle and shouted, "Hey, this is like Cinderella!" and now we all believe in the Fairy God Cow. I just checked out this book from our local library and was very impressed with how the tale of the Cinderella fairytale was changed for the male version. My son is the most cowboyish kid I've ever met and he truly enjoyed ths book. I highley recommend this for fun reading as well as a great Christmas/Birthday gift for any cowboy young or old. Great pictures also.

This is an excellently written book that was a delightful twist on the Cinderella story. My students had so much fun with Miz Lurleen and Bubba. This book is a keeper!

I bought this book for my 4 year preschool class after it was highly recommended by another teacher. I read this book for Circle Time - every child sat mesmerized. I ended up reading it twice that day and it has been requested several time since then. The story is cute and everyone got a giggle out of the Fairy Godcow!

This book is a wonderful version of the male Cinderella! The story keeps your attention and the illustrations are well drawn! It is a super way to do a Venn diagram to compare and contrast the treasured classic Cinderella!

My entire family love to read this book. My mother bought it for my son at age 4. When my husband and I read it to our son and daughter the can't help but to laugh and enjoy the story. You can't help but to read the book with a southern/western draw because it makes the story more interesting. I would strongly recommend this for any family to add to their home library.

Bubba the Cowboy Prince is the most delightful book I have read in a long time. Everyone loves Cinderella stories and this is one that children can relate to. This should be in everyone's library. For teaching purposes, role reversals and compare/contrast can be taught.

This book was recommended by our Librarian because I was looking for some outstanding illustrated books for my 6 yr. old daughter who is real observant and truly enjoys and appreciates the detailed illustrations in the books she reads. She had not expected a twist on the well known Cinderella tale. What a humorous and enjoyable story to read with illustrations that take you right into the story. This book was not only entertaining but the colorful and humorous illustrations were outstanding! My daughter and I love this book so much that we ordered it for our own library at home.
