Flip through the book and savor the sound of shrimp kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, shrimp cocktail and all sorts of ways to cook and eat shrimp. This has 75 recipes, so there's bound to be some that suit your tastes.
You can bake it: Millionaire Stuffed Shrimp, Alabama-Style Shrimp Bake, Bubba's Beer-Broiled Shrimp, Shrimp Pizza Wedges, etc.
You can barbecue it: Lime-Barbecued Shrimp, Grilled Orange Shrimp Salad, and a couple of others.
You can boil it: Spicy Shrimp Dip, Real Smooth Shrimp Butter, Mighty Nice Shrimp Cheese Ball, Lt. Dan's Lemon Shrimp, Smiley Face Shrimp, Oriental Shrimp Salad, Shrimp and Cheese Omelet, and plenty more.
You can fry it: Crispy Sweet-and-Sour Shrimp, Coconut Fried Shrimp, Walnut Fried Shrimp, Mama Blue's Shrimp Patties, and a few others.
You can saute it: Shrimp Hot Brown, New Year's Steak 'n' Shrimp, Shrimp Flambe (with White Wine Sauce and Hollandaise Sauce!), Shrimp and Refried Rice, Sizzlin' Szechuan Shrimp, etc.

The recipes are simple and easy.

Great book, I use it all the time. I've used ever reciepe at least twice. I was just disappointed because a friend of mine has a cookbook she order from the movie that has a shrimp dip w/spinach in it. I bought the movie but I didn't have an order form in my video cassette box. But if you like shrimp every way you can think of then this is the book for you.

If you like seafood, if you LOVE shrimp, this is the cookbook for you. Every recipe in here is scruptious, delicious, mouth watering. And the reference to the movie are heartwarming. A wonderful gift, a prized possession

I bought this book for my Dad after we had a terrific experience at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant in Charleston, SC. My Dad is very ill and on oxygen, but the trip to the restaurant really perked him up. He loved the dish he had there, and the chef was kind enough to come out of the kitchen and tell Dad how to cook it! Although the book doesn't have that specific recipe, it has dozens of others just as good.

My husband and I are big fans of the Bubba Gump's theme restaurants, and I was at least hoping some of their recipes or near matches would be in this book. In this I was dissapointed. However, several of the recipes look tasty none the less. I noted with some amusement that every recipe in the book calls specifically for whole, tail-on, unpeeled shrimp - and then the first instruction is to peel and devein! I have no love for this task, so I will certainly be subsituting pre-peeled shrimp. Somehow I don't think the recipes will suffer for it!

I gave this book as a gift and it was the best gift I have ever given. The recipient was overjoyed and we plan to try every recipe in the book. We did not read a bad recipe in the entire book. The quotes are fun and make the cookbook even more delightful.

I bought this cute little book because my husband and I frequented the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company restaurant when we were in Disneyland together last year - where we got engaged. So, for me it was more of a sentimental purchase. And, for eleven bucks, why not?!

I just got it and I think it's super cute. It's got a lot of cute little stuff in it from the movie, as if it were written by Forrest Gump himself. It's also got a lot of the recipes that Bubba Blue mentioned his Mama making in the movie. It's cute.

I recommend it for fun! It's a little complicated, and many of the recipes are so unhealthy that I believe eating them would increase my pants with just one bite. So, if you're looking for some easy shrimp dishes, this isn't the book for you.

Also note - a lot of the meals included suggest unshelled shrimp. As someone that cooks shrip rarely, I get the shelled, frozen stuff at Costco and am really not interested in getting the unshelled stuff regularly. So, if I use this book, I will substitute my cheater shrimp or use it very seldom for special, "Grandma is coming over" occassions.

Overall, though, it's a cute little book and I recommend it just to have. Worth the read at least!

Side note: the book is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. =)

I received the books I ordered right away. They were in perfect condition and I couldn't be more pleased. There are great ideas for cooking one of my favorite seafoods.

I ordered this book thinking it was a book of the "Bubba Gump Shrimp Company" RESTAURANT'S recipes. It is not. Just a bunch of shrimp dish recipes. Haven't tried any yet. Perhaps I should have read the description a little better.

I recently dined in Anaheim, California's Bubba Gump Restaurant and was so happy to find that Amazon had the cookbook. I have already used it several times and will use it in my high school ProStart (culinary) classes that I teach, too. The photos and quotes are priceless.
