The 1910 Fruitgum Company was the quintessential bubblegum group of the 1960s. Two of the orginal members put together a new version of the group in 2000 for some reunion concerts. In 2007, they released this album, which was their first album in 28 years. It is a decent mix of traditional Christmas songs and new holiday songs written by band members. It's unfortunate that the group's original lead vocalist, Mark Gutkowski, did not participate, but the other guys sing well enough. "Rudolph" is my favorite of the traditional songs here and the best original is the very appropriate "Bubblegum Christmas". There is a "bonus track", which is a recent live version of their non-Christmas hit "Simon Says". It sounds a lot like the original version, despite the different lead vocalist.

I love this CD! The songs are fun to sing along with and the bubblegummy beat keeps me moving and dancing and smiling. Great music for me and my kids at the most happy time of the year!
