While this book is well-researched and well-written, the inclusive dates in the title of the book are somewhat misleading. Rather than "1959-2004", it would be more accurate to read "1959-1985, 1993-2004". This is because between September 1985-December 1992, there were no Billboard "Bubbling Under the Hot 100" charts published. For buyers such as myself conducting research on early 1990s music, this book was a waste of money!

I think this book is very thorough and it cetainly would be complete enough for most detail-minded music people who enjoyed top 40 radio in the 60's, 70's and 80's.

I was very disappointed with this book for the price commanded,instead of it being a comprehensive Bubbling Under primer with extensive track and artist listings,it is a watered down version that only covers the very top of the Bubbling Under Chart.

Since there was no Bubbling Under Chart for the period September 1985-December 1992,this can never be a complete work,and should be labeled as such...shame on you Mr. Whitburn and Billboard! This book can be useful for trivia questions,but not much else. People that collect these offerings from Mr.Whitburn will be the primary buyers,but as for music archeologists like myself,it's a waste of time and money.
