Great-grandmother is excited about making stocking for her first great-grandchild. All materials were in kit. As indicated in other reviews, having the picture will be important as instructions are not specific, i.e. directions for embroidery stitches are in the directions but not where they are used.

The directions were pretty good - but a lot of detail that if I didn't have the picture I would miss. Turned out really nice though!

The product description says "all materials included in kit." However, the first page of the instruction sheet, first line says:
"Additional supplies needed: ....polyester fiberfill, paper plates..., ruler, tracing paper, ... poster board, chenille sticks."

The instructions are in English, French and Spanish, side by side (so you have to sift through instructions you don't need to find the paragraph you are looking for).

The instructions are extensive; five 17" x 11" pages! The instructions could perhaps be re-written to be easier to read and a little more clear, but reading and re-reading gets the job done.

Otherwise, the kit is pretty much what you would expect.
