I've never attempted to make anything before. I had been looking for a stocking for this season, but couldn't find anything I really liked. I loved how this stocking looked, so I bought it last month to give myself plenty of time to make it. It took less than two weeks-about 11 days working on it before work and for a few hours over two weekends. It was extremely easy, which surprised me. I never could do the french knot, but it wasn't a big deal...I just substituted straight stitches and they still look amazing. I love the stocking and picked up another one that I'm working on now. I really like that I'm making our stockings, it makes them a little more special than just picking them up from a store. I'm actually thinking of giving completed ones as gifts; no one can believe that I made it and they really want one. I'm posting a picture of my completed one on the page.

I bought this kit to make a felt stocking for the animal shelter I volunteer for. However, since no one wanted to bid on it or the dog stocking, for more than a pittance, the director gave them back to me and I have kept them for our cats! I've made and given away over 30 Bucilla felt stockings over the years and I'm a bit addicted to making them. GREAT product, but the designer needs to do research on the animals she puts in her designs!
