This is my fifth Bucilla Christmas stocking and it's been the hardest to decipher. This stocking, they have changed the way the instructions are written and they are difficult to read and follow. Over the years, I have figured out my own tricks to make the process easier but this stocking, well, it's been tough. It has fewer pieces than others I've made, too! It's looking good but I've had to re-do a few things, adapt a few things, and re-cut a few pieces, mainly because of the directions. It's a flashy-looking stocking, with all the sequins. It'll be cute, but my least favorite to do.

All the children and grandchildren in my family have a felt stocking made for them as a family tradition. This year I'm adding to the tradition and making one for each of my parents. I made this particular stocking for my dad and it turned our amazing! The stocking is time consuming but worth it for the final product because it doesn't look cheezy and homemade. For those considering other felt stockings, I just want to point out that the quality of Bucilla to me, is better than some of the other brands and I prefer their style of instructions.

Our church and others are making Christmas stockings for children who live in a group home. This is something that they can have and keep forever. So we have chosen many different stockings and will add their first names. This particular is easy to do and easy to follow the design.
