3.0 out of 5 stars ugh! Made in China!!
The whole reason I ordered this particular knife (I ordered 2) was because the description said "Proudly Made in the U.S.A." This is not true! And shame on Amazon for leading us to think so. It is made in China! I'm so disappointed!

I am a Cub Scout leader and we purchased three of these knives last year to present to our Bear Cubs who earned their Whittlin' Chip. The boys and their fathers were very pleased with our choice of blades.

I have to admit I was a little disappointed that the blades are made in China, but I've come to understand that Buck has moved manufacturing of their "low cost" blades to China in order to compete. As far as I can tell their high quality standards have not faltered, even on these $20 blades. They still come with Buck's lifetime warranty.

This year I have fourteen Scouts earning their Whittlin' Chip and I'm purchasing Buck Stockman knives for all of them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tough duty pocket knife, April 28, 2009

Very nice knife; looks to be very well made; reasonably priced; blades stainless -- no rusty blades. This and another BUCK knife I have bought is the sharpest pocket knife I have ever bought; its pocket ready!
Good general purpose knife for most uses around the farm or home. Strong enough for light pruning, cutting flowers, whittling, and good enough to dress a deer. Nice grafting knife. Very similar to the smaller 0370 knife. A little heavy for a Sunday pocket knife! but a pleasure to own.

I am very pleased with the quality of this knife. It is just the right size and is strong enough to hold up to the demands I put on it in doing general carpentry work. The blade seem to hold a good sharp edge even with the abuse I put it through. From scoring hardy board or sheetrock to stripping wire I am very pleased with this knife.

Growing up on a farm, I learned the value of a good knife at an early age. Even tho Buck has moved their production overseas, they still make one heck of a knife.

For the price, it's a good knife for carrying on a daily basis. You won't have a high level of worry for loss, but it is adequate for most things we use a small knife to do. I am impressed with the weight, it feels good in your hand and is very sharp. Down side is made in China.

I bought this knife to replace an old timer I had confiscated at the airport. This Buck knife held an edge and seemed better put together. Unfortunately my new knife fell out of my pocket and is currently lost. If I do not find it soon I am buying another just like it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quality Knife, September 27, 2010

Nice quality folding knife. I use long blade for meat, gutting, some light skinning, etc. Other blade is for whittling, wood, and other similar stuff. Sheeps foot blade is for opening cans, prying, and other tough jobs. This knife is a very strong and good quality pocketknife at a really reasonable price point. Stainless steel is such a nice plus these days!

From my youth, Buck knives have been a top one for use in general purpose hunting, camping and everday use. I recently lost a pocket knife and in looking for a replacement I decided on this one, the Buck Stockman folding knife. So far the only problem I ahve had with it is I underestimated how sharp the factory edge was. the construction is solid and the blades are superb. And for the cost, I have a long time keeper I am sure!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Made in USA in the description, January 21, 2012

But CHINA stamped on the blade? Very disappointed. One star due to the false advertising. Once again, I try my best to buy items made in the USA, so it was very disappointing to purchase this item listed as made here, but stamped with CHINA.

Are there any knives made in the USA?

Shame on Amazon for hiding the truth. These are not US made as indicated.
