In my 65 years I've owned a LOT of pocket knives. Considering the lockback, the size, the durability and edge holding, the Buck 505 is my favorite.

I got this knife to replace a lost Buck knife that was about 15 years old. This one is used every day just like the last one and is very sharp right out of the box. I like the lock back feature for safety reasons. Craftsmanship and materials are of high quality just like the last one. I would buy again.

Great little Buck pocket size knife.I have older Buck knives and they are still made very well.Maybe,American made? Jerry

I have a Buck 505 that I bought 35 years ago. I sharpen it every now and then. I paid about $20 bucks.

Bought this knife as a gift and it was a hit. Very high quality. Perfect size to carry in your pocket. Appreciate the lifetime warranty and made in the USA.

I carried the next size larger for many years and lost it. This is a quality product and I expect to carry it for years to come. Haven't had the chance to see how well it keeps an edge, but being a BUCK I expect it to last, time will tell. You can buy less expensive knives, but I'll pay extra to buy a US made product.

What do you get your 86 year old dad for Christmas? He loves pocket knifes and never seems to have enough. He liked this one and carries it everywhere but the airport.

Great Knife!!! its super sharp out of the box. i literaly tested it by shaving a small bit of hair on my arm and left it as bald as a barber knife would! i use it daily and its still sharp... best thing the 505 is made in he USA!!!!!!

My husband had lost his pocket knife of many years and couldl never find one that suited him. I saw this one and thought it would be the perfect replacement, and it is! He likes it even more than the one he lost.

It was just what I expected. The product was well made and well finished. This was my 1st order from Amazon and the processing and shipping all went well.
For descriptions of Buck products, I suggest you search the web as well as look at their website. Buck's descriptions of their products aren't the best. E.g., the handles, which are Dymondwood® (See [...]), are sometimes listed as rosewood but are birch wood and the website's foreground is light and hard to see. But the product pictures are pretty good.
