As a bottle opener, I didn't find that it worked that well,

I read most of the reviews and bought this product and maybe I'm the only one but I had trouble with the bottle opener in that it would slip off the bottle cap. I would get it under the bottle cap and start to pry and it would start to come off but then it would slip because you couldn't get proper leverage. I let my friend use it at a party and gashed his hand up pretty badly when the thing slipped off the top of the bottle cap. I found the knife to be pretty useful when opening packages or anytime you needed a small knife. I know some people have said they can get it past security but I just saw a TSA agent confiscate one on my last flight. Overall I wouldn't buy this product again and would just a regular Swiss Army knife which I can get better leverage.

A good everyday pocket knife,

I grew up almost always having a pocket knife with me at all times. Although I went through periods when I thought it was a good idea to carry pocket knives with blades that are 5 inches or longer, over the years I realized that a small knife is all you need most of the time and and is much more convenient to carry.
The Buck Metro is a nice, small knife and bottle opener in one. This is without a doubt my favorite key chain knife and is with me all the time. Sure, it's not meant as a camping and survival knife and it certainly isn't going to be helpful in Rambo-style knife fights, but it's the perfect little pocket knife for average people who go about their lives and sometimes need a knife to open a box or cut a loose thread, etc. The fact it has a built-in bottle opener is also a nice plus.

Good luggage knife,

I bought several of these to give away as gifts and kept one for myself. This little knife definitely has it's place. The only problem I have with it is that it's all knife and no blade - the blade itself is very small. On the other hand, that's what makes it useful; I can put it in my luggage without worrying about it being confiscated. When folded, it just looks like any other bottle opener.
If you're visiting places where they are sensitive about the type of knife you are carrying, this one is perfect. It's utterly inoffensive, small, light and the bottle opener even works. I carried it around Ireland for a couple weeks and it did fine for all the little jobs you carry a pocket knife for. I keep it in my luggage and it has traveled dozens of times with me.

These are very nice little knives that are easy to carry in your pocket and very sharp. They don't break like some plastic handled knives and they make great gifts.

Lost old one had to get a new one,

This is my most favorite utility knife ever. there is not a task that this knife can not do. I use it to open/breakdown boxes and packages. The fact that it is light and small make it even better. a long knife can get unwieldy and damage items if you are not careful opening blister packs with them. this knife is the perfect length for opening blister packs.

I keep this on my key chain and I've found it to be a useful tool. No more hunting for scissors to open packages, no more wandering around at parties to find a bottle opener, no more finding myself on the hiking trail in need of cutting something and not having a knife.
I've had this in my pocket for ~4 years now. While other keychain pieces and keyrings have eventually failed, this knife has held up. The paint is scratched after a lot of time being rubbed against keys in my pocket, but it is otherwise well crafted and sturdy. A good gift too.

Excellent Keychain Knife,

This Buck design is an excellent keychain knife. At 1.5 oz. in weight it is practically not noticeable at all. It has a rugged and tight lock blade knife, the locking mechanism for the protection of the user.
The rounded design makes the knife easy on your pocket, wear resistant and small so keys can easily slip over the case without catching. The knife constitutes a great consumer product again from Buck Knives.

I wanted this knife because I needed something small that could clip to a key chain. I typically carry a knife, but never need it when I have it, and always need it when I don't. This solves that problem very well, since I can't leave the house without my keys.

I didn't buy this knife on Amazon. I actually received it as a gift and now I'm ordering one for my boyfriend. I've had the keychain for around six years and I love it. I am always finding uses for the knife - I never realized how handy it is to have one on hand at all times until I received this - now I can't imagine life without it. It's constructed very well, the blade never slips out or anything and it has remained sharp over the years. The bottle opener is kinda tricky, I personally struggle with it, but a lot of my friends can use it right away without any trouble, so I've always thought of it as lack of experience on my part. The paint has on mine has scratched off in places from my keys, but considering how long I've had it, it really hasn't come off very much. It still looks pretty good. It's a decent size and weight. Heavy enough that you feel comfortable using it, light enough that it's not a nuisance. It is small enough that it can still fit in your pockets. It makes finding the keys in my purse a little easier. Overall I'd say this is a very worthwhile purchase and a perfect gift for anyone, I'm a lady and I use it almost every day.

The knife, which is REALLY SHARP, comes out so easily, the hole in the side really helps. I can take the knife out one handed, using just my thumb! I also don't feel weird carrying it on my keychain because it just looks like a bottle opener. I love it, I'm a young female traveler and I really appreciate how useful and portable this is.
