More About the Author

Wyatt McLaren has lived a large and varied life. He has been, at one time or another, everything from a rodeo rough-stock rider to a day laborer to an English teacher. And the stories and books he writes reflect that adventure and variety.

A life-long fan of westerns and science fiction and fantasy, Wyatt usually writes stories and books that combine elements of all three. These works include colorful characters, other-worldly settings, fast-paced plots, and a big dollop of adventurous fun. Think of "Star Trek," "The Rounders," and a little "Lonesome Dove" all shaken together and poured out, and you'll have some idea of what you're about to taste when you step into the Buck Johnson stories.

Wyatt has been writing for years, honing his story-telling skills and mastery of the language. He lives on a few acres in Oklahoma with his wife, dogs, and horses. When he isn't writing, you can usually find him working in his garden or catching bass and crappie.

Wyatt has a load of fun writing his Buck Johnson (and other) stories and books. And he's fairly certain you'll get a big kick out of reading them.

Just got around to reading the lattest Buck Johnson book and I am upset that it had to end. I have been an avid reader of this seris and have come to enjoy the company of Buck and is gang. The way the wirter writes his books makes you feel like you are part of the drive and that you need to keep reading to make sure that Buck gets his dragons. (Wonder if that will becoome his motto "Names Buck and I always get my dragon!") Sorry bad joke on my part. I give this book a 5 star since the writter is giving the reader more information about the characters and that they are finaly comming out of their shells and getting to know the reader and their world. When I first started reading the series, I keep wondering what was the back story, what made Buck leave Earth and get a job he loves but hates at the sametime (sounds like the avreage working man). In conclusion, this books reminds me of how man(woman) should be and that is to do a honest day of work and not set behind a desk and become soft. I can not wait untill the next book comes out, wondering how dragons are going to be used in a rodio and will we see the group of heors that we have come to love at rodios and that is the clowns. BRING ON THE CLOWNS (HINT HINT).
