4.0 out of 5 stars llife changing soundscore
I agree about that slow-dance missing piece. I always loved it. but the song Suspension changed my life. I was 12 when I heard it, and a song about a 500 year old man inspired me to write poetry, publish it, and perform it on stage, which I did for 15 odd years on the cofee house circuit until about 1998, when I got involved in other things.

3.0 out of 5 stars PLEASE HELP!
I truly want to buy this soundtrack but specifically for one song. This is the slow dance music during Ardala's banquet. It has always been the most memorable song and even special part of the movie. After 25 #&^#$%^& years the soundtrack has been released... but I DO NOT SEE THIS TRACK ON THE LISTING!!!! I only see the 'Boogie' track which is the ultra-cheesy...

I still have my cassette tape, 30 years later. I used to compose dances to the music for my dance classes.
I guess I'll have to get the CD. This is one I'd hate to lose. It meant too much to me.

For fans of the soundtrack to BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25TH CENTURY, this is what we've wanted for decades -- a remastered version of the soundtrack on CD.

This is the complete original soundtrack album, with exactly the same content as the original 1979 LP. It has been very nicely remastered, and is a great improvement over my old vinyl copy that I've been playing for nearly 30 years. Extensive liner notes tell the story of how both the movie and the soundtrack came to be. There are also notes about each individual track.

I would have given it five stars but for two things: First, they cut off Buck's foot on the album cover. I would have greatly preferred to see the original album artwork reproduced exactly. Second, there were music cues in the movie that didn't make the original soundtrack -- it would have been nice for them to dig around in the archives and include a couple of "bonus tracks" of additional music. I realize that would have involved some actual research, but for the high price of this CD, I'd prefer a little something extra.

So if you're willing to fork out the amount of money they want for this CD, it's a great replacement for your old LP.

Looking for a classic soundtrack, than click no further than Buck Rogers. Besides having the music for most of the series played on the disc, it includes the VERY RARE Vocal version of the Buck Rogers Theme. Hearing "Suspension" can really help you relax, and if you ever saw the movie, it will always bring you back to that wonderful title sequence.

Get it now, before it goes away!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic 1980s score by Phillips & Larson, February 13, 2012

'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century', the second of Glen A. Larson's theatrical/TV series productions, was a classic TV series that I have remembered with great affection for many years. The release of the series on DVD rekindled my interest in it, and I recently bought this soundtrack. I was not disappointed.

The recording features the complete score from the film's theatrical release; viewers of the TV series will recognize some of the music that appeared in the TV release. Most evident is 'Tailpipe Torpedo', a part of which was used in the episode introductions at the start of the show. 'Suspension' (the song from 'Buck Rogers') is featured here in 2 places; the vocal version here replaced the march version that appeared on the TV series. I had not heard the vocal version for many years (the last time I had heard it was when I watched the original theatrical release).

This is a great soundtrack, not to be missed by fans of the film or TV series. Bravo to Intrada for releasing it!

I only see the 'Boogie' track which is the ultra-cheesy 'rock'song played right after the cool dance number.

Could someone please post whether this track is present? I would greatly appreciate it. I fear that this CD has been cursed with the INFAMOUS SOUNDTRACK STUPIDITY SYNDROME. You all know it; only ONE good song in a movie that everyone searches for that is inexplicably excluded. If this song is excluded then the producers should be sent to soundtrack Hell! (where they must endure for eternity listening to Minnie Pearl B-sides!)

Would figure!
