Cowboy reading month theme
I purchased this title for my fourth grade classroom to go with our western reading month theme. The text was very appropriate for a read aloud for my class and held their interest. We decided to do a class ABC informational book on nutritious food using this book as our mentor text.

Not a board book
This is a beautiful book. Children will be fascinated to have it read to them & to read it when they are old enough. Unfortunately, it is represented as being a "Board Book" indicating younger children who might be a bit rougher with books can look at it. I bought it for my grandson's first birthday, but will have to save it until he gets a little older.

I am such a sucker for beautifully illustrated children's books. Combined with starting a cowboy picture book collection, this book is a winner. I can't comment on how much my 3 year old son likes it yet since it will be a birthday gift next month. I am sure it will be a hit.

Always like the ABC books to use with my students. This one provides information about cowboys, which my students know very little about. These children did not grow up watching westerns on TV.
