I love this book. What a super combination of stories, songs and poetry.
It has given me a real appreciation of the Cowboy life, to the extent that I plan to go to Elko for the annual cowboy poetry fest. The overview and direction by the editorial staff on the is book is certainly first rate. The songs are fantastic, and the written accompaniment is authentic and provides a wide angle view of the lifestyle. I read it with a backdrop of the Ken Burns series about National Parks. Wow, the whole experience is now indelible. I feel fortunate to have read and own this book and its music. |
