Nice Bag, Nice Rip, Poor customer service!,

This review is from: Bucket Boss 06092 EA01 Pro Contractors Briefcase (Tools & Home Improvement)
I really like this well designed bag, its large enough to carry notebooks, books and plenty of office related stuff while out and about. Unfortunately, I really DISLIKE the tear in the fabric that has developed on the side, adjacent to the shoulder strap. Not unlike another customer who has reviewed it, I also have sent a couple of emails to Bucket Boss Brand for information on repair or replacement and have yet to hear a word. So, although a great bag in design and function, I suspect that the material quality and workmanship is sub par and would advise consumers to find an alternate product. Surprisingly, I really do not mind the fact that the bag has developed a defect, of all the Bucket Boss products I have purchased over the years this is the first one that has let me down. What really torques my jaw is that Bucket Boss Brand no longer seems to care about their loyal customers or product quality.

This is a good product, but Fiskar's customer service stinks,

This is one of the best shoulder bags I have ever had, I like it a lot. However, my bag has split the sides and the buckle has broken. I have tried repeatedly to get Fiskars, the parent company of Bucket Boss, to fix or replace it attempting contacting them through their consumer "hotline" No one has e-mailed me and there are no other descernable ways to contact the company. Buyer beware ! This bag is defefective and Fiskars has done absolutely nothing to help.I hate to complain but the manufacturer of this product has majorly dropped the ball.

Great Briefcase,

I love it. I threw away my old cramped laptop brief-case. This thing holds everything and room to spare. I can bring extra drives, batteries, power supply and a large portfolio / planner, folders maps and small tools. I've been looking for years for a case this versitile that didn't cost over $100. My only reservation is that it isn't available in Black. Then again there is no mistake who owns it in a stack of black cases.

This is a very functional piece of luggage, which is good. It does feel a lot more like "luggage" than a "bag" or "briefcase" though, which is not so good. I work predominantly in Manhattan, so I am constantly walking around on busy streets, making my way through crowded subways, etc. The art and science of bag design is a big deal here. The blocky design of this bag makes it more awkward than a similar bag of a different type. It does hold a lot of stuff, I can fit my Makita 14.4 volt drill and charger in it, with enough room left over for plans, other hand tools, etc. The organizer section is a good thing, and useful, though like most other hybrid tool/papers bags, it has some "tool pockets" that fit no tool in my arsenal. The tape measure pocket works well, keeping me from forgetting one and looking like an idiot when I show up to do an estimate. The clear "plan window" is useless. If all the relevant drawings for your projects will fit in one 11x14 window, you probably can carry everything else in your pockets. The color is dorky, but it makes you fit into certain client's fantasy of "a guy who knows what he is doing" Some straps that would cinch it up narrower when it wasn't full would be a great addition. It is probably perfect for someone who wants to organize the sea of papers that washes over the front seat of their truck. Three stars is a little low, probably, it is not bad at all, and I do use it, but it is only average, in my opinion.

This is easily the most functional, durable, practical briefcase I've ever owned (and I've owned more than my share). It has ample space, and adequate padding for a laptop. It has perfect pockets for PDAs and cell phones, in addition to other general nooks and crannies. My two favorite features are 1) the weight. it is extremely light, considering that it has laptop padding and side stiffeners to make it stand up unassisted. 2) the color. Why does all luggage have to be black? Americans are such dreary conformists.

I first bought one of these bags in 2001 for my husband who is a real estate inspector. He carried his laptop, printer, digital camera, paperwork, pens, small tools, etc. in the Bucket Boss. Never a thread pulled or a handle torn. And this bag was LOADED down.
In early July of this year, he was in Dallas and his car was broken into during the night. His Bucket Boss bag and everything in it was stolen. Sure, he was sick about losing the electronics. But what was really upsetting to him was losing his awesome bag!!! It was like losing a limb. We were able to replace the computer, printer and digital camera (fortunately the thieves threw all of the paperwork from the bag in the alley so at least that material was recovered). But what about the Boss? Men are such creatures of habit. My husband knew what every little pocket, zippered compartment, and latched closure contained. All at his fingertips. Now it was gone. What to do? After much searching, I found the Bucket Boss here on Amazon! Purchasing it was kind of like Christmas. I did not tell my husband I had found another Boss until it arrived. When he opened it, it truly WAS Christmas for him!! We both HIGHLY recommend this product.

I have used this bag daily for 5 years, schlepping tools and documents from one job to another. Very well constructed with many nice features. I would buy it again.

This is a grate briefcase! It is holding up to the daily abuse and harsh environment I subject it to every day in the construction industry. The whole time my laptop sits safely in the middle compartment....Happy shopping!

This is an OK briefcase. But the one you receive after ordering it may NOT be the model depicted. The model represented on Amazon is the 'Bucket Boss 06092 EA01 Pro Contractors Briefcase' with the clear map pocket. The model I received was the 'Bucket Boss Classic 06092 (no EA01) Pro Contractors Briefcase' which isn't as nice -- it doesn't include the map pocket. After waiting weeks for delivery -- NOT satisfied.

I bought a Bucket Boss Contractors Briefcase years ago at Home Depot for my son in law who had a used car business. Prior to this he had used expensive leather briefcases. However once he used the Bucket Boss Briefcase he sold all of his fancy leather ones at a yard sale. When the that one finally wore out after many years of service he went looking for another and couldn't find one - Home Depot no longer carried them - I found exactly what he needed on Amazon. That was three years ago and he is totally delighted with it just as he was the first. He said not only was it the sturdiest bag he ever had but it gave him a briefcase as well as a tool box to boot. He says it totally blows away everything else he has ever used.
