4.0 out of 5 stars Very good system, just be careful
These plastic trays are very durable, and downright ingenious. 2.0 out of 5 stars Didn't Work Out Good
I bought this with the intention of inserting it in the same bucket as the one that I put the Bucket Boss 56 Pocket Tool Organizer onto. When I put it inside, I learned I couldn't fit my larger tools into the inside pockets (the pockets used for the larger tools) of the organizer because the stacking tray made too tight of a fit. Maybe having a deeper bucket might solve...

These plastic trays are very durable, and downright ingenious. The only thing is that if you get a whole bucket filled with trays, and all the trays filled with screws, nails, bolts, etc; the bucket will be incredibly heavy for the average person. If it is to stay stationary in your shop or garage, it is the perfect thing for you. If you plan on adding the other outside bucket tool organizer, and filling it with tools, with the full trays inside, and are going to work out of it, plan on one heck of a load to haul. Just consider this before you go off and make a purchase. Other than that, bucket trays will provide years of durable service, and save hours of time in some cases in looking for the perfect fastener, or craft item (yes, the whole family can use them for many purposes).

5.0 out of 5 stars It's Organization, November 23, 2001

This set of four stacker system, with four compartments each, has greatly aided me in trying to keep my shop organized with the various screws, nails and brads that I use in my craft business. Each compartment is labeled and I know that the exact item that I am looking for is in the "screw" bucket. It has eliminated the boxes of stuff from piling up on the workbench.

Better yet, when I go off to a craft show, I just take the bucket with me, and I know I have everything in hand that I could possibly need. Plus, when the supply of a compartment gets low, I know it is time to fill it up, rather than hunt through the various boxes on the work bench hoping that I have more.

A great "investment" and time saver for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ingenious pieces of plastic, October 12, 2000

Although I am not too fond of the price that Bucket Boss is getting for these handy trays, I own about half a dozen of them. That's because they work so well!

The other reviewer pointed out the weight problem when over loaded. This is very true.

My buckets usually sit in my storage building full to the brim with assorted yet sorted fasteners. I can find what I am looking for rapidly by just lifting the stacking trays one at a time and giving a quick glance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bucket Boss - Best parts organizers ever!, January 9, 2007

This review is from: Bucket Boss Brand 15051 Stacker System (Tools & Home Improvement)
The bucket boss 15051 stacker system is the best means of organizing small parts I've ever used. I got several sets for organizing plumbing parts and find it the fastest and easiest method to use. Each bucket I use has different sizes (1/2", 3/4", galvanized pipe etc.) and each compartment works GREAT for keeping the various fittings sorted for fast access. I'M NOT A PLUMBER, but own a handyman service, so I don't need huge amounts of any of those on hand unless I'm doing a full re-pipe. I can keep valves, fittings and everything else I need all together. It's large bins are too big for screws and such, but for electrical devices (plugs, plates, switches etc.) it's great as well!

I find these really helpful especially if you are using multiple screw lengths or types. We also use them for wire nuts, nails and the like. SO why 4 stars? I must admit if your a one man shop you might find a parachute bag a better option but if you are part of a crew and sharing materials then this is your best choice

5.0 out of 5 stars Great way to organize hardware, January 24, 2009
By
If you read my reviews of the bucket boss and CLC tool organizers, You know that I feel these are a great way to organize your tools.

these plastic bins fit inside a five gallon bucket and they can stack on top of each other up to 5 high.

each bin has four compartments.

What are these good for? Well, I use mine to organize my electrical supplies. Wire nuts of various sizes are instantly accesible and sorted. Wire clamps, ground screws, wire staples, conduit fittings, all are now easier to find. The fact that I can fit up to 5 in a standard bucket lets me really load them up- 1 is just for the various sizes of wire nuts. Another holds screws and hardware, separated by thread pitch. There is another that has cable clamps and fittings...

A plumbing bucket could organize the various pipe fittings by both size and type of pipe- tees, 90s, 45s, caps and couplers for both 1/2 and 3/4 inch.

Carpenters could organize screws and nails more easily.Roofing nails, finish nails, framing nails flooring nails organized by size and finish...

These could also work with automotive and crafts.

I like the fact that I can take one of the stackers out to transport to where I am working using the handle, while leaving the rest in the bucket, in the truck.(esp. if you are working in an attic or crawlspace!)

To make it even more capable, I fit the bucket that I am using with a outside pocket system-Essentially a bucket boss with no inside pocket, only pockets on the outside of the bucket, so as to not interfere with the stackers.

I have about 4 of these inside of a 5 gallon bucket and they make a great system for storing all of your nuts, bolts, nails, etc. Buckets are cheap (or free) so these make great additions.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect depth & number of compartments, April 5, 2008
This review is from: Bucket Boss Brand 15051 Stacker System (Tools & Home Improvement)
This organizer is about the perfect size for a box or two of screws or nails. If you need a large variety of fasteners you need the four compartments and the shorter depth of this organizer. The three compartment dividers(of the same depth) leave to much wasted space, unless you just need a lot of fasteners. The deeper red organizers (4 compartment) are only needed for the biggest nails & screws. I could not find this item at any local retailer.

Maybe having a deeper bucket might solve the problem.
