5.0 out of 5 stars Intelligent Design, Well Made
I'm a homeowner. I remember seeing our electrician with a few of these several years ago, so I finally got around to getting one. They sit on a ladder shelf easily and securely. You can pick em up, toss em around. Reaching in the large compartments to get nails, small parts, etc is easy. I used to use a nail bag you tie around your waist. This is much better. Most of the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice bag
Bag is very well made, The only thing about this bag is there is no way to keep the screws or whatever you keep in this bag seperated. The pockets are not complete, there is a gap between the sections where small screws and get mixed up.

Most of the time I don't need to wear a cumbersome tool belt. The bag is well built with good materials. PLUS Bucket Boss / Fiskars have a no questions asked warranty for the LIFE of the product. Just make sure to cut out the warranty card on the box and mail it in. Plus outside pockets for small tools and what not.

5.0 out of 5 stars Holds up under fire, December 24, 2000

I purchased three bags about two years ago.I liked them because you couldn't tip them over. Alot of guys in my company were also using them. Unfortunately, a house I was working on burnt to the ground and took my van with it. When I went back to the site the next day to make a list of matl's for the insurance company, I noticed the bags had their carrying strings burnt off and had fallen from their hooks upside down on to the van floor. I turned them over to find them sealed tight from the heat, with almost all contents intact. Unuseable now, but they did their job right to the end!

5.0 out of 5 stars Super useful, July 31, 2003

I have a number of the original Bucket Boss chutes, so when I saw this unit with the external pockers- a natural extension of the idea- I picked up a couple at the local home store.

I'm not a builder, but I've worked with crews on my house and done a fair bit of repair and addition of small built-ins. Like anyone who's done this sort of work, I have accumulated large amounts of screws, nails, wirenuts and other hardware in various sizes that I need a handy way to carry. Three or four of these (depending on what's in 'em) will fit in a joint compound bucket and provide an excellent way to organize and carry small parts.

I've got two filled with different sizes of deck screws, one with biscuits for the biscuit joiner, one with wire nuts, cable staples and other electrical items, one with nails and a few more with different screws, nuts, washers, screen door hardware, fuses, and other things I can't even remember. It's a great system.

I like to use these bags to carry an assortment of screws, especially. I've had one of these for several years, it's still in great shape, so I bought a couple more to get a little bit MORE organized.

5.0 out of 5 stars More useful than you'd think, March 3, 2005

I have a bunch of these bags, as well as the older bags with no external pockets. The older style is a little easier to close, but the new ones are thicker material, so I think they'll last longer. I don't use the exterior pockets (yet?).

My workbench went from a disorganized collection of cardboard boxes to a handful of parachute bags - now I can find hardware faster and get back to work. They also save much time and aggravation when packing my truck and tools for a job - I know I have all my hardware with me.

It's a good product at a great price.

The Bucket Boss has been a wonderful thing for me to have as a teacher. I am able to put all the supplies I need, including markers, scissors, chalk, glue, crayons, and be able to grab them all at once.

I use this bag with assorted lengths of decking screws, so it carries roughly 10lbs of screws at a time. Even with this amount of weight the closure system doesn't work right. Meanwhile, the cheaper "chutes" bag works flawlessly. Save your pennies and buy the older style.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bucket Boss Closure System, August 24, 2006
This review is from: Bucket Boss 25005 Pro Parachute Bag 18-Pocket Bucket Tool Organizer (Tools & Home Improvement)
The bucket boss is the best system I have seen for keeping your screws and fasteners organized. I have an older version without the side pockets and I actually like it better. The closure system on the new one does not work as well. Instead of a simple draw string with a locking toggle, there is a web of strings that I haven't quite figured out how to close easily. I may end up re stringing it myself to be more like the old ones.
