take it from the old d.j......this is good stuff----think dwight y. with better melodies and less twang---good listening thru-out---you wont be disappointed if you are serious and open about alt/country flavors.....vernon,,,,,trust me...............

I first heard Mando several years ago while listening to the Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour in the car. His voice immediately caught my attention. He's got a very pure quality and I found myself trying to remember words to the songs days afterwards... It's evident that this second album had more of a production budget and it is revealed in a more polished sound than Mando's first album. "Seven Dollars" is a very catchy tune and each one seems to flow seamlessly from one track to the next. For $12, you can't go wrong and chances are good that you'll find a new favorite to add to your portable music player.

I saw Mando opening for James McMurtry in Huntsville, AL, before the release of Bucket. I was thoroughly impressed by him--the songs are beautifully written and unique, and his voice mirrors and deepens the qualities of the lyrics. I took Watertown (1st CD) home with me, and I listened to practically nothing else until Bucket was released and I got my copy. It is a departure from Watertown, but just as great. I can't wait to see where Mando goes next---artistically and careerwise.
