Good book by former Ohio State football coach Earle Bruce. Earle shares some of his thoughts on coaching and Ohio State. Great section on Chris Spielman, former Ohio State linebacker. Not alot of Ohio State history in this book, but good insight on Earle. I would recommend.

Coach Earle Bruce had done short segments on life and football for a Columbus, Ohio, radio station, which ultimately spun into this collection of antidotes in the 102 pages of text and photographs.

Within the five chapters - On Winning and Losing, On Football, On Coaching, On Success, On Teamwork - coach Bruce shares his insights and those of others that were shared with others in his more than 40 years of prowling the sidelines in high school, college and the Arena Football League.

"A good coach emphasizes education first and football second," writes Bruce. You may have never had the chance to attend a game in "The Horseshoe" - let alone stride onto the field on a Saturday afternoon - but coach Bruce provides unique insight on what it was to be a Buckeye and inspiration for any player attempting to race to a first down in the game of life.
