Dr. Buckland gives an accurate and curious description of the ways in which the Romani Gypsies practice fortunetelling. Coming from a long line of Rom, Buckland relates both past remembrances of his grandparent's practice and contemporary research into this subject to explain in bare-bones & simple fashion how Gypsies practice their art. He presents a myriad of differing forms of fortunetelling, omen reading, and even cold reading (which was a very honest chapter to include). I may not believe much in "fortunetelling" per se, but this book was an interesting read as it provides a brief window into a culture steeped in mystery.
