This book is great along with all the other books in this series. I highly recamend this series to anyone. I really hope the author writes some more of these books to continue this series because this series rocks!

Buckskin Bandit, is the 8th and final book in the Winnie the Horse Gentler series. This book is a great conclusion to the series. Though it is a bit saddening that the series is at an end. If Dandi Daley Mackall is reading this, you really need to write another book! :)

Liked the fact the horse was taken away from the abusive person. Did not like the fact when Winnie was being forced to go with her dad and sister to a scinece fair.

Winnie the horse gentler seems to be a very well written and enjoyable series. The only book that I have read from the series is book 8, Buckskin Bandit. I can see young girls reading and enjoying this book and the series. It is especially good for those girls that love horses and all that they bring with them.
The only thing that I would recommend is reading the first 7 books first. I have not had the pleasure of reading the other books and I felt like I missed out on some important character information. I was unable to see how the character was built with book 8. I am sure that is because not having read the first 7 books about Winnie. If you like reading anything to do with animals and their owners or in this case friends, this is a series that I would recommend. It has other animals in it other than horses so it should be of some interest to all. Overall I liked this book and I wanted to see what happened at the end. I wanted to finish the book so that I would know that all is well again. It is a good story and the reading is not hard. To help at the end of the story the author has included horse terminology for those who know nothing about horses. It's fun for all. |
