A very good 2and book in the tales of the Fighting Bucktails. This episode has a larger number of intense yet non-graphic battle scenes. Covering the time from Dec 1861 through August 1862 including both battles of Manassas the story matches the historical records to a tee. This is how historical fiction should be done.
