This rapid growing, broadleaf, summer annual is a great smother crop for weeds. It flowers in 5-6 weeks and grows 3-6 ft tall. Good for building organic matter and increasing calcium and phosphorous availability. Plant spring through summer. Non-legume. Plant 50-100 lb./acre or 1-2.5 lb./1000 sq. Ft.

I was raised on buck wheat ( really a friut), didn't like the course ground, too much husk for me. Prefer a finer grind,less husk. each part of the country has differnt grinds, prefer Pa./W.Va. type
