5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome pillow!
I LOVE this pillow. I previously had a buckwheat hull only pillow, which totally doesn't compare to this one! Shipping was SUPER fast (from Comfort Essentials), rec'd it 6 days earlier than estimated. My ONLY complaint is the pillow is SO SMALL. Get out your ruler on this one, because it would fit a 5 yr. old better than an adult. Wish they made this in a larger version,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Gee
It took a while to get use to. The support was great, to great as a matter of fact. I started to get my headaches more often. After 2 weeks of sleeping on it I am going to pass it on to my daughter. The headache came more often and were becoming worse. I did notice that the pillow did not stay cool as previous stated.

I have had this pillow for almost five years and am just now beginning to notice it needs a refill. It is definitely worth the money!

5.0 out of 5 stars I must say, I love this pillow, December 4, 2010

I bought this pillow when I began having a lot of neck pain that started in the morning and progressed to daily headaches. I could tell that neck stiffness and pain were the the cause of the pain. After years of using down pillows, I decided to make some changes. I considered the specially designed cervical pillows that have an indentation in the middle and is built up on the sides. Those pillows required specific measurements and recommended that the pillow be used differently depending on how one slept (for example - a side sleeper should keep their head on the periphery of the pillow and back sleepers keep their head in the middle). All of that seemed very high maintenance, and I knew I changed positions frequently throughout the night.

So, I decided on a pillow that could offer firm support to maintain a neutral neck alignment but would be able to accommodate my various sleep positions throughout the night. So, I settled on the Bucky. Because of the Buckwheat, it is able to be shaped into the desired shape needed to support your head within seconds. For example, when I first go to sleep, I start on my side. So, I keep most of the pillow uniform, except a add a little extra support above the shoulder to support my neck (like a cervical roll). If I change during the night and sleep on my back, the pillow easily conforms by creating an indentation for my head but still adding support for my neck's natural lordosis.

To sum up everything I tried to say above, I love how flexible this pillow is considering how supportive it is.

FYI: The buckwheat pillow is not comfortable on the face. However, for those with neck pain, your goal should be a neutral cervical spine so sleeping on your stomach is discouraged anyway. I appreciate that this pillow serves as a sort of reminder. As far as temperature, I have not noticed any difference in temperature from any other pillow and I have used down, memory foam, and synthetic fiber filling pillows before.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best pillow ever!, August 21, 2008
This review is from: Bucky Buckwheat Bed Pillow (Apparel)
This is the most comfortable pillow ever and has amazing support. The only downsides are that it is a bit small and the noise it makes when you move might drive your partner crazy (but you are sleeping so well it won't bother you!!!).

I'm a side sleeper and always ended up with a sore neck. I wouldn't sleep without it and take it with me everywhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally, the perfect pillow!, September 24, 2011
I have suffered for years from migraine headaches and neckpain. So I decided to try a buckwheat pillow as the "memoryfoam" ones didn't help at all. I did a LOT of research and decided on an expensive organic buckwheat pillow online that had a section on it for the cervical area. It was full sized, my friends, who are complaining about the small size of "Bucky". It was also VERY heavy, making it unable to take it with me for travel, not to mention just lifting it. I used it for about a year, taking hulls in and out in an effort to make it just right for me. I never was successful in making it "just right". Finally, one day, I was at Bed Bath and Beyond and happened to see the Bucky Buckwheat Pillow. It was small, admittedly, and came in its own travel carrying bag. It was only around $40 at the time (cheap compared to what I had spent on my heavy, expensive, organic one at home. I decided to give it a try. After one night, I threw the expensive one in the trash, and have been using Bucky ever since. I would never look for another pillow again--my search is over, and by the way, my headaches are gone!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Pillow, July 4, 2011

My opinion....I think this is a great pillow!
I did a fair bit of research and comparing on the internet and finally ordered this pillow, a Bucky Buckwheat PIllow.
I had reservations of the small size but after using it I'm very happy with it.
This pillow will shape to your head and neck making it very comfortable. Once your head is on the pillow, the so called "noise" was no problem.
I also use the pillow for back support if sitting up in bed, brilliant!! My daughter, who is very fussy about pillows, used mine for a couple nights and she now wants one as well!! The cover on the pillow is very soft and cosy too.
Would highly recommend

This pillow is comfortable, but the buckwheat is more coarse than the the Bucky neck pillow and tends to be heavy.

4.0 out of 5 stars love my Bucky, July 2, 2010

This pillow is small, and very lightly packed with Buckwheat-so if you prefer a flatter pillow that can be shaped around your head, it's great. Sleeping on buckwheat pillows has made a major difference with my insomnia and sleep apnea- I wake better refreshed and seem to move around less during the night! For years, I have traveled with my Bucky, and take it to each hotel--it's like a Linus blanket! Enjoy--if you like a pillow that is more firm, just add more buckwheat. The pillow cover is very nice, fuzzy and snuggly.

I've used Bucky pillows for many years and wouldn't be without one. The perfect support for head and neck. Store pillows are all too big.
