Tanto Warrior Knife

This is another in the line of Bud K knives that is really nothing special...It is your basic, stainless steel, (flat) black anodized, tonto blade knife, coming straight to you from CHINA. Uncharacteristically of other Bud K knives, the blade of this tonto knife has a little bit of substance to it, meaning that it (at least) feels like it will not bend with moderately applied forces. Out of the box, the blade definitely needs to be sharpened, though. On the other hand, the knife handle has a decent gripability, as well as solid feel, about it; however, it looks & feels to be about 1/2- to 1-inch too short (for this long blade). Lastly, the "psuedo-leather" sheath is the cheapest looking type of sheath in which any belt knife could be placed; it definitely feels as though it would fall apart within an hour should one attempt to wear on his/her belt. But, what can one expect for a sub-$15 knife from Bud K? If your looking for a general tool knife for around the yard, this may be your knife.

What can I say really? It works perfectly, it looks amazing, it's exactly as advertized. The sheath kind of sucks though. It broke so I needed to duct tape the bottom of it so it wouldn't fall apart.

The good news is that the steel has a bit of spine to it.

Handle is a touch loose out of the box. A rattle can be heard and felt.

It weighs 13.7 oz on my scale.
Despite the 11 inch blade, it doesn't feel heavy.
It balances about an inch forward of the hilt.

Because of the balance, it may be a full tang but it can't bee seen.
It does a draw a magnet so there is at least steel in the handle along with the weight.

The handle is toyish in appearance. Care would need to be taken not to break the lanyard hole.
That hole, is small an does not look like it would take 550 cord but a leather string or bank line.

The knife handles "okay" while rotating but wants to leave you hand when the tip is dropped downward.
I wouldn't want to do too much swinging without a lanyard.

The presence of it suggests that there should be 9 year old bushcrafter about to put it through it's paces.

Just by the feel and handling of it, more a showy piece but could have some real application for teaching a younger one to handle a blade.

As a knife, it's too long.
As a machete, it's too weak.
As a gift, it's sure to draw a smile.

I don't think it's worth taking out for a test but it's worth the low price.
