I ordered this sword set for my son. I arrived on time and was exactly as described on the website. My son is realy enjoying them and has order more from the same company.

I know it's cheap but these things are junk... the handles and the carving on the scabbard is cool but the hilt is just a piece of wood with a couple of holes drilled in it. the "blade" part is very skinny and looks like it would snap easily. I was fine with just using them on the display stand but the wooden pieces won't even fit together properly so I can't assemble the stand.

the blades are thin plastic and terribly shaped and the only wood is the scabbard the sword holders, the holder has a narrow base it works for these sword because they weight all most nothing these are only good for a 5 year old, no one older would want one of these

Got these for my son, who sees me using a real katana and wants to learn what I'm doing. These are great, because they have actual scabbards, and they're very very light. Obviously. these aren't real bokken, and they're definitely not for sparring. But for a 6yo learning his first sword form, they're perfect!

they look like the real thing! the graphic is very good. Of course, it could break easily if actually used for play battle, is made for show only

or just for display, but its mostly
for practicing your moves and rough use.

I dont hate these swords; however they were not what i had expected. You cant tell from the photos that these wooden swords are a little flimsy and especially thin. They are very lightweight and feel fragile when in motion, although the scabbard is very sturdy and i like the design on them but there was alot of glue exposed on the koiguchi. For $20 these arent too bad, if they are solely used for non contact training. 3 out of 5 stars.

My son absolutely loved these swords. I was a little apprehensive at first (thought they might be dangerous), but my fears were unfounded. I would recommend this item to anyone who has a younger teenager who loves sword fighting with his friends.

I received this item for a costume requiring a sword with a black scabbard. Because these items feature no metal, this product should be accepted at most anime conventions, but do check policies and rules at individual events to be certain.

As to the product itself, the pair is good quality, workable for costuming, though I make no claims of its durability in use. The wood will dent, so do be careful when using these. Not seen in the image is a devil carved into the scabbard. This and the engraving at the open end of the scabbard can easily be masked, though sanding it out is not recommended. The swords (especially the longer one) will sometimes get stuck inside of the scabbard. This may require some fixes with a Dremel tool. The stand is also a bit difficult to put together and requires what seems to be excessive amounts of force to be put together.

In all, if you're looking more a more realistic prop for costuming, this set is definitely worth a shot.

They only things separating them from the real thing is that they're wood (obviously). They look fantastic!
