Relaxing yet not boring ethnic music,
By Mr. Amanti (Ohio, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Buddha Bar Nature (W/Dvd) (Audio CD)
The Music CD: Buddha Bar Nature gives you 12 tracks that are ethnic new age and middle eastern sounding. Besides track 2 there are not really any songs of spanish descent. Also none of the tracks border on being lounge music like much of the music in the regular Buddha Bar series. This CD reminded me a bit of the eirlier buddha bar's like Vol. 2, before the lounge sound entered the current volumes. What i liked about this CD was that it was very good musically (different instruments, enchanted voices) and did not depend on the bass beat to make the songs interseting (think lounge music.)The DVD: The music fits very well with the nature scenes. These nature scenes almost always features plenty of animals, particularly from Africa. The timely use of timelap photographing was neat as the viewer can see the unigue movements of animal formations. My fatorite Video and song was "Dance of the Flames" whiched featured iguana's swiming in the ocean, crabs moving allong the beach, clouds moving, and sun rises and sun sets.

I have a habit of just diving in because I am familiar with the rest of a series, or I am maybe just curious, but I did purchase this blindly. I was not disappointed. Every Buddha-Bar I've purchased has been amazing, but this one has quite a feature to it. The CD is enough to enjoy, but you should dive into the DVD. Set to the same music, documentary-like cinematography combined with Arno Elias's well-crafted selection of music makes for one hell of a DVD. I'm no nature buff, but some of the stuff i saw just blew me away. Buy this CD/DVD.
