5.0 out of 5 stars Buddha Bar, Vol. 10
I own the entire Buddha Bar collection and they are all great and unique! At times both CDs are good or one is better then the other. With Buddha Bar, Vol. 10, I find CD1 is better then CD2 but still a GREAT buy!

I have read previous reviews that indicate the music is not relaxing. These are NOT Buddhist meditation CDs, IT'S LOUNGE MUSIC and WORLD MUSIC...

2.0 out of 5 stars Buddha Bar is going down...Ravin's music inspiration EXHAUSTED
after the fall of Hotel Costes and Cafe Del Mar , here comes the Buddha Bar series...

can't understand how people are giving this 5 stars...

Ravin has clearly EXHAUSTED all his magic music (that was heard on volume 3, somehow volume 6/7 and the Siddharta series)

they need a NEW DJ (Popat started well on volume 8) or maybe more of...

5.0 out of 5 stars At last a return to WORLD Lounge Music, July 4, 2008

At last Ravin has returned to what really works with these Buddha Bar CDs--WORLD Lounge Music. There are plenty of regular lounge, chillout, dance CDs around, but I count on Buddha Bar to bring in that Parisian sound from around the world. The remixes are excellent, especially the one by Sia. As usual, however, I really like CD 1 MUCH better than CD 2 (which gets thumpy and dancey). I would rather dance to global beats than a "house" beat...

All in all, WAAAAY better than the last one which was only dance music.

Ravin has clearly EXHAUSTED all his magic music (that was heard on volume 3, somehow volume 6/7 and the Siddharta series)

they need a NEW DJ (Popat started well on volume 8) or maybe more of David Visan ( all his volumes, vol 4 and 5, were excellent including the Chill in Out Paris series) - he was the only one (besides Claude Challe of course, the godfather of all) who truly mixed eastern asian, indian, middle-eastern/arabic, african, european/french and latin music (or what we currently call World Music)

i give it 2 stars because of the initial tracks on volume 1 (that are acceptable) and some other scattered ones (get up carmen, sahib balkan ...)

Forget it, even if you are tempted to buy it I strongly advise you don't. Of the 10 Buddha Bar collection CD's this is by FAR the worst. The musci selection seems to be from elsewhere, this cd does not sound like BB. Horrible, it will NOT grow on you! you will hear it 100 times and you will still dislike it.

I am a regular guy who listens to Buddha Bar type stuff, Claude Challe and the like, with no partcularly sophisticated background or training. To me when reviewers say "IT'S THE WORST" they are simply saying, really, "I did not like it as much as the others." It is OK for you to not like it, but when you set yourself up to say ANYTHING beyond your opinion and try to establish FACT then you are really just blowing wind, sorry.

I like X more than most. Not sure why. It is just really cool. I would recommend the hell out of it and I have no reason to tell you that other than I would like others to tell ME what they found really cool without flapping their gums about an area of taste and trying to make it science or something. Dude, it is music. Like it, or don't, but don't sound so goddam self important.

I 've heard it many times trying to catch the spirit of this volume, but it isn't as goog as the previous ones. CD 2 is not strong enough as it usually is, it doesn't reach to that point.

I was really disappointed by this CD, the selection was really bad. The 2nd Cd is worse than the first one, the 1st one is a little better but they are both bad comparing to the previous ones!

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your time or money, May 22, 2008

I love nearly all genres of music and own 5 of the 10 BB releases and had been very much looking forward to this release. I was prepared to listen with an open mind, but was extremely disappointed in all but one of the tracks on BB 10. If you can imagine previous BB releases morphed as elevator "muzak", you might get a general idea of this release.

Trust me, don't waste your time or money on this one.
