Global Fusion,

This review is from: Buddha Bar presents Chill Out in Paris (Audio CD)
These two CD's fuse the tribal rythyms of Arabic, Hindi, African and South American into great techno/dance tunes. The sounds and beats are wonderful. Play it during dinner parties, or play it while you thrash your sports car - either way, it enlivens the soul and has you groovin'. An absolute must for any serious techno head, or for those who love world music with great dance rythyms.

What a wonderful compilation. Listen to it in the car or at home with your stereo system either way you'll be blown away. Treat your love one one evening with your home made cooking, bottle of nice red wine and these two CDs. You wont go wrong

Chill Out in Paris - an explosivly chill album,
By A Customer
This review is from: Buddha Bar Presents: Chill Out in Paris (Audio CD)
I came across this album after listening to some other Buddha Bar music, and I must say that it was well with my time and money. I am by no means a fan of ambient or chill music, but this album is an exception. It combines the soothing, trance like tunes of Asian harmony, and yet also keeps a continuous beat that is common among the ambient music. I highly recommend this album to people who love chill (and trance) music, but also to those who are looking for a new kind of melody to relax to. I give it an A+ and two thumbs up!

Good album! High recommended! It may cost an arm and a leg but if you can pay for it go for it! I'm very much in deep jazzy house music and this album was a nice change from one type of chill out music to another. Go and get it if you can afford it!

This two-disc compendium by Paris-based dj David Visan ranks among the most surprising pleasures of this year. Impossibly cosmopolitan, the collection ranges from Brazil to Berlin to Benin (Angelique Kidjo's simply gorgeous rendition of Summertime, which she translated into her native Fon language), with stops in Cairo, Damascus, Ibiza and Madras. At every listening - and I've racked up quite a bunch - something new emerges, inviting another playback, another search. Stunning.

BEWARE - NOT A 5 star album,
By A Customer
This review is from: Buddha Bar presents Chill Out in Paris (Audio CD)
I bought this pricey...CD based on the glowing reviews I saw on this site. Unfortunately this album does NOT deliver the goods! I was looking for straightforward chill out & was surprised by the heavy middle eastern musical overtones throughout the album which to me do not mix well with down tempo electronica. A lot of it is rather cheezy. Should be called chill out in Baghdad. If you read through the other reviews, it seems as if the album creators themselves actually wrote them!
