I thought the book was very well illustrated and easy to follow. I also bought the DVD and between the two was able to do the movements

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, Could Be Even Better, February 2, 2009

(REAL NAME)
Right off the bat, I want to say I loved this book. The text is informative, helpful, and has a lot for the reader to absorb. The author's knowlege of Qi Gong and the I Jing is evident from the start.

However, when it comes to the Qi Gong photographs, a bit more info would have helped. There are no transitional photos or directional arrows. It's not neceserily a bad thing, and there IS text to explain the movement. However, for a visual person like myself, it is still difficult to follow.

That aside, the book is a wonderful addition to the collection of any serious Qi Gong practitioner, and helps establish a clear correlation between the various Qi Gong postures, and their significance/effects from an I Jing perspective.
